Earth Band

Earth (band) is a drone metal band formed in 1990 by Dylan Carlson. Although the group mixed many styles of music, they are generally considered to be pioneers of the drone metal movement.

The band Sunn O))) was formed as a tribute to Earth.
They took the title "Earth" from Black Sabbath's original name.
Carlson was the best friend of Kurt Cobain of Nirvana and purchased the gun that Cobain later used to commit suicide.
Cobain sang lead vocals on the song "Divine and Bright"
