Necrophilia Is Now Illegal in Wisconsin
When the men were arrested in 2006, there was no law against necrophilia in the state of Wisconsin. The charges of attempted sexual assault were dropped.2 On July 9, 2008 the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled that a corpse cannot consent, therefore sex acts or attempted sex acts with a corpse is punishable by law.2 The charges against the men were reinstated.
