Dustin Keller

Dustin Keller, who played football for the Purdue Boilermakers, was born in Indiana, and is one of the top prospects for the 2008 NFL Draft. Even though he entered college in 2003, he did not play his position of tight end until 2004.

Keller played at Jefferson High School in Indiana, and was named one of the top 50 receivers in the nation. In his senior year, he set a state record with 113 interceptions for 1,804 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Keller played at Purdue University, where he started 26 games of the 46 he played in. Before starting his freshman year, Keller moved from the position of wide receiver to the position of tight end. He had a total of 142 passes for 1,882 yards and 16 touchdowns, which placed him 10th overall on the schools record list. In 2007, Keller was the teams first tight end to receive Most Valuable Player since 1979.

Keller is smaller than some of the other tight ends on the draft board, but he is considered to have tremendous talent. He just needs the opportunity to show off his skills to the NFL teams and to prove he has what it takes to play on Sundays.
