Dustin Hoffman is a prolific American actor who has been starring in film and television for over three decades. He made his breakthrough performance as "Benjamin Braddock" in the Mike Nichols film, The Graduate, for which Hoffman received a Best Actor Oscar nomination. Hoffman didn't win the Oscar for The Graduate, but he did win for his roles in Kramer vs Kramer in 1979 and Rain Man in 1988.

Over the course of his career, Dustin Hoffman has starred in many memorable films. In 1969, Hoffman played "Ratso Rizzo" in Midnight Cowboy. In 1976, he portrayed "Carl Bernstein" alongside Robert Redford's "Bob Woodward" in All the President's Men. That same year, Hoffman took on the role of "Thomas 'Babe' Levy" in Marathon Man. Then, in 1982, he cross-dressed to play the main character, Dorothy Michaels, in the Sydney Pollack comedy, Tootsie.

In the 1990s Hoffman took on some lighter projects, and starred as "Captain Hook" in Steven Spielberg's fantasy film, Hook alongside Robin Williams, Bob Hoskins and Julia Roberts. He also played "Mumbles" in the Warren Beatty film adaptation of Dick Tracy.

Hoffman has also worked on some satirical, offbeat projects such as Wag the Dog and I Heart Huckabees.
