Terrell Owens Controversy
In 2005, Terrell Owens hired agent Drew Rosenhaus and immediately demanded that the Philadelphia Eagles (Owens' team at the time) restructure his contract. The Eagles refused to alter Owens' deal, causing the receiver to make comments about the organization and quarterback Donovan McNabb. Owens was suspended for four games for his actions, which would eventually lead the team to deactivate him for the 2005 season. Owens issued a public apology to the organization and its fans, followed by Rosenhaus reading a prepared statement and dodging questions from the press. Despite the apology, Owens was released from the Eagles after the season and signed with the Dallas Cowboys.2
