Drew Henson
Drew Henson is a former Major League Baseball player and a current National Football League quarterback for the Detroit Lions. Henson saw his first NFL action since 2004, when he played in the Thanksgiving game with the Lions on November 27, 2008. The Lions fell to the Tennessee Titans 47 to 10.1

Early Life
Drew Daniel Henson was born in San Diego, California, on February 13, 1980. He later attended Brighton High School. Henson continued his education at the University of Michigan, where he developed into a two-sport star in baseball and football. Henson was notable in college for being the back-up quarterback to future NFL superstar Tom Brady in 1998 and 1999. He earned the starting role in 2000. Henson was drafted by the New York Yankees in 1998 in the Major League Baseball amateur draft.2 He was also drafted by the Houston Texans in the 2003 NFL draft.3
Pro Career
Henson made his MLB debut on September 5, 2002, with the New York Yankees. His baseball career was short-lived—he would only appear in eight games at the Major League level.2 In 2004, he left baseball and pursued a career in the National Football League. Henson would appear in his first NFL game in 2004 with the Dallas Cowboys and would go on to appear in seven games for the team that season.3 After the 2004 campaign, Henson failed to appear in another NFL game, until 2008, when Henson signed with the Detroit Lions.4
