Guide Note: Dreams with Sharp Teeth is a documentary film about the popular and controversial science fiction writer Harlan Ellison who created such original works as I, Robot. Filmmaker Erik Nelson began filming the documentary in 1981 at the age of 24 in what began as a simple PBS segment, but grew over the years as he collected countless hours of footage from Ellison and his contemporaries. The film was selected to screen at the 2008 South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival.
