Dooce is both the blog and pseudonym of Heather Armstrong. The blog focuses on mother-related issues in both the home and workplace, and has been called "mommy blogging" in some circles. Armstrong started the blog in 2001; a year later she lost her job in part because content on the blog included satirical posts about the job and her co-workers.¹ She lives in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband Jon, their daughter and two dogs.¹

Blogging in the Bucks

Dooce has become so successful that both Heather Armstrong and her husband have quit their regular jobs.¹ Although exact numbers are not out, in August of 2008 Dooce was on track to make seven times what it did in 2006.⁴
