Don S. Davis Dead
June 29, 2008: Actor Don S. Davis passed away during the morning hours from a massive heart attack. A memorial is being planned to scatter his ashes over the ocean. The family has requested that donations be sent to the American Heart Association.

Career
Although Davis' television acting debut was in a 1982 episode of Joani Loves Chachi, it wasn't until 1987 that he quit teaching to go into the profession full time. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s Davis had many guest appearances on a variety of shows. He is probably best known, however, for his role as Major General George Hammond in Stargate SG-1. He played the role in over 160 episodes of the show, spanning 1997 to 2007.
