A dog shot and fatally wounded its owner, Perry Price, a 46-year-old man from Texas, on Saturday, January 5, 2008. Price had reportedly just shot a goose and set the loaded gun in the back of his truck with the dog. He was opening the tailgate of the truck to let the dog retrieve the goose when the dog stepped on the gun, causing it to go off. Muddy paw prints from the dog were found on the gun.
