After a false start in 1883 using animals from a defunct circus, the modern Detroit Zoo was established in 1928 and has become a favorite trusted destination for Motor City families.1 Operated by the Detroit Zoological Society, the zoo is home to many thousands of animals and houses the Arctic Ring of Life display, the world's largest polar bear habitat.2
