Attractions
The beaches and "emerald green surf" of the waters that surround Destin are the "ultimate" attraction, but another is Florida's Gulfarium, located in Fort Walton Beach. It is the "second-oldest marine park" in the United States and features shows and exhibits with live sea animals such as dolphins, sea lions, stingrays and even sharks.3
Activities
Fishing is the "specialty" of Destin's activities. There are over 140 charter boats available for private or group charters from Destin Harbor. Red snapper, triggerfish, black fin tuna and barracuda are just some of the fish anglers catch off the coast of Destin.4
