Early Life
Deron Michael Williams was born in Parkersburg, West Virgina he would attend Arbor Creek Middle School in Texas and then The Colony High School he would lead his team to the state semifinals. For college Williams would attend the University of Illinois where he would be named first team All-Big Ten and All Final Four Team. He would also be a finalist for the Wooden Award. In 2005, he would lead the Illini to the Final Four.
Pro Career
Williams would be selected with the third pick in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. In his first season he would be elected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. He would eventually establish himself as one of the premiere point guards in the league. In 2008, he would win the NBA All-Star Skills Challenge.
