Del.icio.us

Guide Note: del.icio.us is a social bookmarking site founded by Joshua Schachter. The service works very similar to a web based version of your internet browsers bookmarks (aka favorites). Users have the ability to save and share their favorite links from around the Internet. To make it easy to organize your links Del.icio.us also includes the ability to tag each item. Lastly the service also allows you to setup a friend network, with this you can see what your friends are book marking and visa versa. Del.icio.us was acquired by Yahoo! in December 2005 for an undisclosed amount. Some of the early investors include Marc Andreessen, Tim O’Reilly, and Josh Kopelman.
