Death Race
Death Race, also known as Death Race 3000, is an upcoming movie set to be released in September 2008, and is a remake of the 1975 film Death Race 2000. The story involves a futuristic America that pits prison inmates against one another in a deadly car race tournament, and will closely resemble the original movie.

Plot
Death Race is set in a futuristic America where prison inmates are forced to compete against each other in a brutal, gladiator-style car race to the death that is publicly broadcast. A prisoner (Jason Statham) with only weeks to go on his sentence is coerced into the race by the prison warden, and quickly becomes a fan favorite, earning the nickname Frankenstein.
