Guide Note

Christian hard rock band Dead Poetic formed in 1997 at a church in the band's hometown of Dayton, Ohio. They performed their first show at their middle school's annual talent show. Dead Poetic's debut album, Four Wall Blackmail, was released in Spring 2002 by Tooth & Nail Records, a subsidiary of Solid State Records. In November 2006, vocalist Brandon Rike left the group and they disbanded in 2007. However, the band states on their website that "Dead Poetic is not dead." Drummer Jesse Sprinkle recently released a solo album titled Surrounded by Lights.
