Guide Note

The nominations for the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced on April 30, 2008. CBS led with 56 nominations, followed by PBS with 50 and ABC with 39. The winners will be announced at the Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony on June 20, 2008.

About the Daytime Emmys

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences present the annual Daytime Emmy Awards. The awards honor the stars and shows of daytime television whose achievements are recognized as excellent by their peers. The first Daytime Emmy Award presentation was held in 1974 at the Rockefeller Plaza in New York City and was hosted by Peter Marshall and Barbara Walters.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented the annual Daytime nomination announcement on April 30th, 2008. All My Children was represented by Rebecca Budig and Cameron Mathison while One Life to Live's Farah Fath and John-Paul Lavoisier also made appearances on the show.

Nomination predictions were given by Mark D'Agostino of People magazine fame.

The Award Ceremony

On Friday, June 20, 2008 the broadcast will take place live from the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, CA.
