Guide Note:Dawn Wells is an American actress best known for her role as Mary Ann Summers on the sitcom Gilligan's Island. Wells was crowned Miss Nevada in 1959 and represented her state in the Miss America Pageant in 1960. On March 11, 2008, at the age of 69, Dawn Wells was caught with four "half-smoked joints" of marijuana in her car in Idaho, made a deal involving a prior reckless driving charge, and was sentenced to six months probation for that charge as the marijuana-related charges (all misdemeanors) were dropped.
