Early Life
Darko Milicic was born in Novi Sad, Serbia on June 20, 1985. He attended high school at Hemiska High School. In 2003, Milicic was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the second pick in the NBA draft.1
Pro Career
In his first several seasons with the Pistons, Milicic failed to earn a spot in the regular rotation. In three seasons, the most games he played in was 37 during the 2004-2005 campaign. He never averaged above 1.8 points per game during his time with the Pistons. In 2006, Milicic was traded to the Orlando Magic. Milicic signed as a free agent with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2007. As of 2008, Milicic has career averages of 5.5 points, 4 rebounds and 17.2 minutes per game.2
