Gameplay
The protagonist of Dark Void is a pilot named Will, who finds himself in an alternate dimension called the Void after flying into the Bermuda Triangle. He encounters a small, acrobatic race of cyborgs called Watchers.
Unlike a standard side-scrolling platformer, jumping onto a cliff face in Dark Void moves the camera below the player for a vertical climb. Will clings to outcroppings with one hand and fires on enemies with the other. The player has access to a rocket pack that can be used to hover above enemies or fly great distances. With it, he can hijack enemy aircraft and participate in midair dogfights.
