Harry Potter Late Release Theory
On August 15, 2008, Fox News' Roger Friedman announced his theory for the delayed release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from November 21, 2008, to July 17, 2009. He states in his article "'Harry Potter' Scared by Horse," "Radcliffe appears naked in the play, on stage, and has sex in it as well. That's not the image Warner Bros. wants associated with bespectacled Harry, who remains chaste and virginal."2
Daniel Radcliffe Quote
"I'd be lying if I said I was completely fine. I was nervous and I was a little bit worried. But not meaning to drop a name, I talked to Gary Oldman about it, because we get on very well and I know he’s been naked on stage. And so I said to him, 'What’s it like?' and he said, 'On the first night you’ll be terrified and on the second night you’ll be terrified and after that you won’t care.' And that’s absolutely true. When you’ve done it twice, it doesn’t matter anymore."3
