Daniel C. Campbell
The
U.S. Department of Justice is investigating the
South Carolina Highway Patrol after several videos recorded by patrol car dash board cameras surfaced showing officers behaving inappropriately. Two officers were recorded hitting fleeing suspects with their vehicles, and
Daniel C. Campbell was shown saying to a suspect,
"You better run n***** because I'm fixin' to kill you." The South Carolina police disciplined Campbell with a reprimand, suspension, and required anger management and diversity training.
South Carolina governor Mark Sanford is quoted as saying that he should have been fired.
