In 2005, Daniel Battsek became the president of Miramax films. He took over the company in October 1, 2005 and replaced the founders Bob and Harvey Weinstein. Daniel Battsek joined the Disney company fifteen years ago. Before taking the role with Miramax, Battsek ran Buena Vista International in the United Kingdom.
