Dances with Wolves
Dances with Wolves is an Oscar-winning drama that tells the story of a United States cavalry officer (Kevin Costner) who is asked to man a military post on the Western frontier, only to befriend a tribe of Sioux Indians. Directed by Kevin Coster and starring Mary McDonnell as a white woman who was raised by the Sioux, the film was a critical success and went on to win seven Academy Awards, including Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Picture.
