Creator of the popular Booster Gold character for DC Comics, Dan Jurgens is perhaps better known for his work on the Superman comics in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Jurgens was a significant contributor to the "Death of Superman" storyline in 1992, penciling the famous cover to Superman #75 with the hero's red cape blowing like a flag over rubble. Jurgens also did artwork for the "Funeral for a Friend" and "Reign of the Supermen" sagas that followed.
He has also worked on Teen Titans, Infinite Crisis, and other DC titles through the present. In 2007, it was announced that he would resume work on a new Booster Gold series.
