NHL Career

Fritsche was drafted 46th overall in the 2003 NHL Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets. He made his NHL debut that same year and joined the team for 19 regular season games. Fritsche split his first few seasons between the Blue Jackets and their minor league affiliates. On September 13, 2006, Fritsche re-signed with the Blue Jackets to a two-year contract.
