Dallas is a city in the state of Texas and is home to numerous parks, attractions and events. There is a lot of accommodation options in Dallas, especially in the North district. Downtown has many high-end hotels, not really suitable for budget travelers. There is, unfortunately, one a few backpacker hostels available for those vacationers traveling on a tight budget, or those that just want a cheap place to rest their heads at night.

The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek is the best-rated choice to stay at in the Dallas area. They have been reviewed highly by Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure and Frommer's, three of the best ratings one hotel can receive, as well as a AAA five-diamond accommodation. Their motto on their website says it all, "Style & Sophistication." Guest rooms are "luxurious" and feature outrageous amenities such as marble bathrooms, private balconies, 24-hour room service and housekeeping twice a day, just to name a few. The hotel also offers guests other luxuries as a fitness center, massage services, a heated outdoor pool, 24-hour on-site security and a five-mile complementary shuttle service.

For a more affordable option, try the Quality Inn & Suites DFW North, located close to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Most rooms are basic, as with most Quality Inn hotels and the amenities and services include free internet, a pool, private parking, business services and free transportation to the airport. The Fort Worth Zoo and Texas Speedway are both only about 25 miles away and the Six Flags Over Texas is about 15. The location of the Quality Inn isn't the greatest for visiting downtown Dallas, but it's still with in a short driving range of many major attractions and events. For the price, it's almost worth the distance.
