A curling iron is a small appliance used to curl the hair. It features a metal barrel that is heated.

Tips on Use

The following recommendations are made to get the best results from your curling iron:

Use no larger than one to two inch sections at each time
If you have short hair, it is best to start at the crown
If you have medium to long hair, it is best to start in the back
Hold the iron in place for ten seconds before releasing
If you have long hair, you may pin curls in place while curls are cooling
After curls are cooled, spray with a hair spray to hold

Caution

Prolonged use of a curling iron may make hair dry and brittle. It is recommended to add extra hair conditioner to help protect the hair.
