Introduction

  • This is a detailed walkthrough of the 2007 PC game Crysis. The entire game will be covered in this tutorial, and additional links to other walkthroughs and game guides are available at the bottom of this page.

Nanosuit Abilities

  • Nomad's nanosuit gives him special powers unavailable to normal soldiers. Each power is applicable to certain situations. Holding down the scroll wheel button on your mouse while in-game will allow you to quickly switch between each one (except for your binoculars).
  • Armor
  1. While in armor mode, any damage you take will be subtracted from your suit power.
  2. Once your power is drained, damage will be taken from your health bar.
  3. TIP: Armor mode is most useful during battles because when using other abilities you will take damage more easily. If you must use other powers while fighting it is advisable to quickly switch back to armor after you do so.
  • Strength
  1. Using strength will give you the ability to jump several times higher than normal, as well as pick up or punch large objects and throw them with great force.
  2. There are several areas in the game where you will be required to use strength to jump onto steep cliffs.
  3. TIP: Strength mode works as a very good strategy when grabbing enemy soldiers. You can throw them farther and knock over (and possibly kill) other infantry with them.
  • Cloak
  1. Cloak mode will make you completely invisible, but will continually drain your suit power. Once the power bar is empty, you will become visible.
  2. If you stand still while in cloak mode, your power will be reduced at a lesser rate than when you walk or run.
  3. Also, if you attack while in cloak mode, you will instantly become visible and your suit will switch to armor mode.
  4. TIP: If you are trying to bypass enemy soldiers by using cloak, keep your distance from them. Even though they can't see you, they may hear you and start firing in your general direction.
  • Speed
  1. Using speed mode simply makes you walk and run faster than normal. However, while you are running your suit power will be drained very quickly.
  2. Speed mode is useful for quickly moving through open areas, but is not recommended for use during firefights.
  3. TIP: Before you use speed mode, check your GPS to make sure there are no enemies around. If you come across any, make sure to change back to armor mode before engaging them.

Weapon Customization

  1. You will pick up several weapon attachments during the game, and you can switch these on and off using the weapon customization menu.
  2. The pistols and the rifles have non-interchangeable attachments. For example, the laser pointer for the pistol cannot be used on the rifle.
  3. TIP: Try to customize your weapons before entering a firefight. The game will not pause while you are in weapon customization menu, thus making it harder to do on-the-fly.
  4. NOTE: You can also enter weapon customization menu by pressing C on your keyboard.

Binoculars

  1. Equip your binoculars by pressing B. You can zoom in and out with the scroll wheel.
  2. You can also "tag" enemy soldiers using your binoculars so they will appear on your GPS by clicking on them while in binocular mode.

Enemies

  • KPA Soldier
  1. The KPA Soldiers are the grunts of the North Korean army. They are prevalent in the first half of the game, but do not appear after the Core level.
  2. Most of them are armed with a FY71s or shotguns, but some carry pistols instead.
  3. When fighting soldiers, aim for the head. Their body armor can take several hits before they go down.
  4. If a soldier gets to close to you, then a "Grab Enemy" message will appear on your HUD. When this happens, you can press your Use key (default F) to pick him up. Press your Use key again to throw him.
  • KPA Nanosuit Soldier
  1. Midway through the game, the North Koreans are found to have their own nanosuit soldiers. Nomad describes the suits as "cheap knockoffs" compared to the ones owned by the US Military.
  2. Enemy nanosuit soldiers generally carry precision rifles and submachine guns, although some of those found in and around the excavation shaft carry miniguns.
  3. Since their nanosuits are similar to yours, they will use cloak, strength and armor modes just like you. However, while they are in cloak mode you can still locate them on your GPS system.
  • General Kyong
  1. General Kyong is the first boss character you meet in the game. You will fight him after the cutscene in which he opens the door to the alien temple.
  2. As bosses go, Kyong isn't that tough. Aim for his head and watch out for the bullet spray from his minigun.
  • Alien Ectomorph
  1. Alien Ectomorphs are found throughout the Core level in Crysis.
  2. Since the Core level is without gravity, Ectomorphs can attack from all directions, both horizontally and vertically.
  3. Ectomorphs move very fast in the anti-gravity environment. Their main attack is a melee charge that can be devastating to your suit power and health.
  4. Normally, one or two point blank shotgun blasts will kill them instantly.
  5. Just like KPA soldiers and alien troopers, if you are close to them, you can pick them up and throw them.
  • Alien Trooper
  1. The Alien Troopers are the infantry of the alien army. They resemble smaller, ground-based versions of the alien scout.
  2. Beware of their melee attacks - if you see one jump into the air, it will most likely dart towards you. If this happens, quickly move out of the way so you won't be hit.
  3. They can be grabbed and thrown if they are close to you, just like KPA soldiers and alien ectomorphs.
  • Alien Scout
  1. Alien Scouts are larger, flying aliens with tentacles. Their main weapon is a machine gun similar to the one that Prophet gives you in the ice sphere. Also, they will occasionally drop alien troopers to the ground.
  2. The gauss rifle is probably the most effective weapon against alien scouts. Two direct hits will easily bring them down.
  • Alien Exosuit
  1. The Alien Exosuit is the second boss character. It is originally seen in the Exodus chapter. Due to the way the game is played, you are not able to destroy until it appears on the aircraft carrier flight deck towards the end of the game.
  2. When you are fighting the exosuit on the aircraft carrier, it will have three attacks. The first is the alien machine gun, which is used by the alien scout and sometimes by the alien troopers. It also has an ice gun attack. If you are hit by it, you will be frozen for a few seconds. However, while you are frozen, if you are hit by any enemy fire you will shatter and die. Thirdly, the exosuit is able to pick you up and throw you. If this happens, your nanosuit will absorb most of the damage.
  • Alien Warship
  1. The Alien Warship is the final boss encountered at the end of the game.
  2. You cannot damage it with normal weapons. Instead, Helena will disable parts of it by sending a signal through your suit. These parts are then destroyable with the TAC cannon (found at the end of the game).

Contact

Divided We Fall

  1. CUTSCENE: While flying towards the objective by plane, Prophet explains the mission to the team: find and rescue the archaeologists on the island.
  2. While you're parachuting down to the island, an alien scout will hit you and you will fall into the shallows below.
  3. Once you swim a few meters to the beach, Prophet will restart your suit, and you will have full power.
  4. TIP: Open the weapons customization menu (default key is C) on your SCAR and select the silencer. This will minimize sound during firefights and attract less KPA forces.
  5. Continue down the beach and take out the KPA patrol. Once they are dead, Pick up their FY71s. Keep moving and meet up with Jester.
  6. Once you get to Jester, team up with him to find Aztec. Before long, Aztec will start panicking and yelling over your radio for help.
  7. Follow the path between the rocks and head up the hill.
  8. Head through the small valley between the mountains.
  9. CUTSCENE: You and Jester find Aztec and the KPA patrol dead. Prophet then decides to vaporize Aztec's suit to deter the North Koreans from obtaining such advanced technology.
  10. Take Aztec's SCAR and move on. You can find it next to where his body was.
  11. Before you get out of the jungle, you'll need to take out the KPA patrol on the way. You can beat them with stealth, as Prophet suggests, or you can just go in guns blazing and kill them. There are only two of them and they're too far away from reinforcements to get backup.
  12. Continue through the jungle. Prophet will radio with your next objective - disable the KPA GPS jammer on the beach, which is causing interference with the tactical map of the area.

First Light

  1. Head down towards the beach. Take out the KPA soldiers so you can easily disable the KPA jammer. You can find the jammer near the houses on the beach. To disable it, use the panel on the side.
  2. TIP: Using stealth here is a good idea. KPA soldiers will call for reinforcements if you are seen. Also, keep away from the beach because patrol boats in the bay may see you and start firing on you.
  3. If the soldiers at the beach fire a flare to signal for reinforcements, a KPA humvee will come to their aid. It's best to take out the gunner on top from a distance or sneak up close with stealth. Head-on attacks can be dangerous.
  4. Continue down the road. Take out the two soldiers in the trees and move on.
  5. There'll be several soldiers and a humvee at the second beach. If you take fire, duck down and wait for your power and health to recharge. Also, watch out for grenades thrown by the KPA troops.
  6. TIP: The humvee here makes for good transportation along the dirt roads. As a bonus, you'll also have access to the machine gun turret on top.
  7. NOTE: Depending on what difficulty you're playing on, the turret may or may not be accessible while you're driving. If you are playing on hard, you will need to switch to the turret position to use the machine gun. On the flip side, if you are playing on easy or normal, the machine gun is usable while you are driving. This principle is the same for boats and other vehicles with turret positions.
  8. Once they are dead, move on down the beach and take the road to the right, near the face of the mountain. The humvee provides good transportation. If you don't want to take it, stick to the road - the beaches are infested with KPA soldiers.
  9. A ways down the road you will see three KPA soldiers and a pickup truck to the side of the road near the palm trees.
  10. TIP: If you're driving a humvee, the easiest way to kill them is to run them over, because they'll be gathered in a small clump.
  11. Keep moving. When you get to a certain point in the road, a KPA humvee will start driving towards you.
  12. TIP: If you're in a vehicle, then it's easiest just to drive on past. Otherwise, take it out.
  13. Continue along the road. There'll be another humvee parked at the right.
  14. TIP: Just like the one before, if you're in a humvee or truck, skip it. If you're on foot then you'll need to kill the soldiers.
  15. Follow the road up to the first group of buildings.
  16. TIP: There's quite a few soldiers in the area, both the around the houses and on the dock to the left, so if you're running low on ammo, there's an FY71 and case of bullets on the table in the garage.
  17. Keep following the road past the second set of buildings and reach the KPA outpost on the peninsula.
  18. There's a sizable KPA force in this area so watch out. Look for machine gun emplacements on the top of the hill, and KPA soldiers on the decks around the hut in the center.
  19. Go inside the trailer near the middle of the entrance and find the intelligence console. Download the intelligence.
  20. Head back to the small group of houses. If you're in a vehicle, abandon it. Kill any KPA in the area and move on. Watch out for grenades.
  21. Take the short path up the hill to the houses. There will be several KPA soldiers in the area, so take them out. Watch out for grenades, and try to avoid point-blank shotgun blasts from the KPA commanders.
  22. Find the small path to the east of the village and follow it south until you find a small KPA barricade. If you are taking too much fire, duck behind the rocks and wait for your health to recharge.
  23. TIP: There will be a few soldiers and a machine gun emplacement behind the barricade. If you have any grenades, they are very useful here.
  24. Continue south and take the fork in the path east behind the fence and towards the cliff.
  25. Use your strength suit power to jump up the cliff and then continue between the sides of the mountains.

The Lusca's Call

  1. CUTSCENE: You reach the rest of the team, which has found the archaeologists boat crashed and frozen in the mountain. During the conversation, an alien scout attacks your group and it carries Jester away.
  2. Follow the alien scout through the valley and around the side of the cliff.
  3. TIP: Don't bother with the KPA soldiers here; the alien scout will kill them. Just run past them.
  4. The small valley will end with a cliff. Jump down it to get to the next level.

Recovery

Trespass

  1. CUTSCENE: You find Jester dead, and Prophet vaporizes his suit.
  2. If you're still using your SCAR, take Jester's ammo. Bullets for the SCAR will be scarce until later in the game.
  3. Follow Prophet and Psycho to the KPA comm station in the small village.
  4. Prophet will send you off to find more intel and to rescue the archaeologist that the North Korean forces are holding in the village.
  5. Move on down the road. A humvee will be to your right near the cabbage patch.
  6. Take the humvee and drive it down the road. After the first or second bend, you'll come across an enemy humvee.
  7. TIP: Dealing with the humvee is quite easy - just stop in front of it. Then change your position to the machine gun turret on top. Wait for the KPA soldiers to get out, and shoot them. Take out the enemy gunner first, since he is the most dangerous.
  8. Keep moving down the road. Stop when you see the path up the hill to the right.
  9. Move up the path. There's a small squad around the hill so you'll need to take them out.
  10. TIP: One of the enemy soldiers carries a precision rifle with an assault scope. Switch one of your weapons for it. Not only will you need the scope, but also the precision rifle will come in handy for taking care of the soldiers in the village without getting too close.
  11. Continue along the path up the hill. Find the small building at the top. If you come across any KPA patrols on the way up, take them out.
  12. TIP: There will be several KPA soldiers in and around the building. Stealth works well here. Sneak in undetected by using stealth mode. If you run out of suit power, then duck behind a rock or fence and switch to armor mode so it can recharge.
  13. Head inside the building and use the KPA console to get the intelligence.
  14. TIP: There's a cache of ammo outside the shack, and also a rocket launcher leaning against the wall. Take the rocket launcher, as it will come in handy later. There are also FY71s with scopes and ammo inside.
  15. Follow the path down the hill to the road. Keep your distance, since the machine gunners at the village may start shooting at you.
  16. Find the embankment to the left of the bridge and head down to the river.
  17. TIP: At this point, you can shoot the gas tank in the village to cause some confusion. If you are going for a frontal assault, this is a good time to do that. However, if you're going for a stealth maneuver, don't bother - it will just alert more KPA to the area and you will be caught easier.
  18. Cross the river and take cover underneath the trusses of the house.
  19. TIP: The house makes for good cover when dealing with the KPA soldiers at the entrance. However, watch out for grenades. If they explode to close to the building then it will collapse.
  20. Enter the village and find the schoolhouse. It's close to northern edge of the village, towards the beach.
  21. Go to the second floor of the school and find the closed door to the left of the stairwell. Open it.
  22. CUTSCENE: Psycho disengages cloak mode and appears beside you, then knocks down the door and shoots the KPA soldier inside. The hostage explains that the rest of the team is elsewhere and that an archaeologist in their team was killed by one of the aliens.
  23. After the cutscene, you'll need to destroy the tanks that have been called in by the KPA. They will be moving on the dirt road surrounding the school.
  24. TIP: The easiest way to deal with tanks is with the rocket launchers. You'll need two of them, since each launcher holds three rockets and each tank takes three rockets to destroy. You can use the one from the KPA building on the hill, and there are also a few on the bottom floor of the school in the office.
  25. Take the village road southeast and find the footpath leading up into the forest.
  26. Follow the path. When you get to the cliff, use strength mode to jump up onto it.
  27. NOTE: Alternatively, you can follow the river instead of the path in the forest. Keep in mind that either way you will meet KPA resistance along the way. The forested area provides more cover if you are going through with stealth, but if you just want to wing it, the river is fine.
  28. Keep moving down the path. Kill any KPA soldiers along the way. They will be found in patrols and mostly on the main path.
  29. TIP: If you don't want to fight the hordes of KPA along the way to the rendezvous, use cloak mode and keep close to the cliffs on the right side and hide in the brush when recharging your suit power.
  30. Once you find Prophet at the end of the path across the river, follow him into the cave system.

Relic

CUTSCENE: Prophet is explaining the situation. Midway through the conversation, you are attacked by an alien scout and Prophet is carried off by it. Major Strickland tells you he's going to pull you out, but you tell him that you can still complete this mission.

Left Behind

  1. Follow the footpath down to the KPA outpost. Watch out for machine gun emplacements, KPA patrols, and enemy humvees throughout the village.
  2. TIP: The area is crawling with KPA forces. If you don't want to fight them, then use cloak mode to bypass them and get to the GPS jammer.
  3. Locate and disable the GPS jammer in the middle of the camp. To disable it, use the panel on the side. Or, use strength mode and punch it to blow it up.
  4. TIP: You can find plenty of ammo on the military crates near the jammer. One of the FY71s has a grenade launcher add-on attached to it, which you can use on your SCAR or FY71.
  5. Take the road south out of the encampment. Watch for KPA humvees and machine gun emplacements as you leave the village.
  6. Major Strickland will notify you of a KPA armored escort heading your way. Take it out, or use stealth mode and let it bypass you.
  7. Keep moving until you come to the fork in the road. There will be a squad of KPA soldiers in and around the building there, along with an armored truck. Kill them now, or they'll bother you later.
  8. After you kill the soldiers at the fork in the road, a North Korean helicopter will come to their aid. If you need rockets to destroy it, look inside the shack for launchers and ammo.
  9. Take the road to the left across the bridge and follow the winding road up the hill. There'll be a KPA convoy along the way, so you'll need to destroy it (or, alternatively, bypass it using stealth).
  10. When you've reached the KPA encampment on the hill, eliminate any enemies and find the intelligence trailer.
  11. TIP: If you're running low on supplies, one of the trailers contains ammunition and grenades.
  12. Access the KPA intelligence console and download the information.
  13. Follow the road north behind the encampment through the rice fields.
  14. TIP: You'll come across some KPA resistance along the road, so it's best to take a humvee and take them out with the machine gun. There are two empty humvees just behind the encampment. One is right in front of the roadblocks and the other is off to the side.
  15. Cross the river and follow the road past the houses on the docks on the other side.
  16. Travel down the road through the jungle and head towards the KPA base.
  17. Enter the KPA encampment at the end of the road. Find the system of trailers in the lower half of the base that connects to the large dome building in the middle.
  18. TIP: This is a very protected area, so it's best to keep low and avoid snipers in the towers and machine gun emplacements around the dome and trailer complex.
  19. Get to the door inside the trailers that leads to the dome. Use the panel on the right side to open it.
  20. CUTSCENE: You find Rosenthal in the dome talking to General Kyong on video screen about a large fossil he found on the island. A microwave burst interrupts the transmission and an ice explosion is emitted from the fossil. Rosenthal ends up frozen.
  21. When the burst clears, your suit will restart. Also, the soldiers at the entrance will be frozen, so you won't need to deal with them.
  22. Take the way you came and head outside the trailer system.
  23. Follow the road out of the base and go back down towards the river. If you need a humvee, there is one underneath the carport near the gate at the encampment. Also, watch for KPA forces along the way. They will be all throughout the jungle and along the road, as well as on the docks by the river.
  24. TIP: Unless you destroyed it on the way to the base, there is a boat along the docks near the houses at the river.
  25. Follow the river northwest towards the extraction point.
  26. A helicopter will attack you along the way, so take it out.
  27. TIP: If you don't have a spare missile launcher, stop at the bridge over the river and find the hut at the fork in the road there. Unless you used them all up when you were there previously, there should be a few left. You can also find ammo for your other weapons.
  28. Continue following the river towards the extraction point.
  29. Eventually you'll come to a swampy area in the river. If you're in a boat, abandon it and make for the extraction point on foot.
  30. TIP: If you get lost or are unsure where to go, refer to your objectives map and your GPS.
  31. Once you get to the extraction point, you'll need to eliminate enemy forces before the VTOL can land to pick you up.
  32. TIP: The KPA soldiers in the area are wearing nanosuits, so they will be much harder to kill than normal soldiers. They will also be using cloak mode, so use your GPS to locate them and watch for their shimmering outlines.
  33. Once you eliminate all the nanosuit soldiers, the VTOL will land to pick you up.

Assault

  1. CUTSCENE: Psycho explains the situation. You're being dropped away from the main objective so the VTOL won't be hit by anti-aircraft. However, the KPA is shelling the mountainside where you're landing.

Bradley

  1. Get out of the VTOL.
  2. TIP: As a general rule, SCARs are more accurate and do more damage. You'll encounter more of them in this level so it's best to pick one up now. They'll be around the dead soldiers along this path.
  3. Follow the path up the hill and then down the other side to the road. Watch for KPA soldiers coming up the embankment from the beach.

Incursion

  1. NOTE: The game doesn't require you to finish the objectives in this section in any particular order. If you want to, you can take out the anti-aircraft guns in any way you like.
  2. Turn left on the road, and follow it past the fuel station on the right.
  3. TIP: While not absolutely necessary, it's a good idea to shoot the gas tanks in the fuel station. It will cause confusion among the enemy soldiers and you may kill a few of them in the process.
  4. Destroy the anti-aircraft gun at the bridge. Watch for KPA soldiers around the AA gun and on the bridge behind it.
  5. TIP: There are many different ways to destroy the AA guns, but the quickest and easiest is a C4 charge. There are two sitting on the crates near the shed next to the AA gun.
  6. After the AA gun is destroyed a helicopter will attack you. You can find rocket launchers on the crates near the AA gun.
  7. Cross the bridge. Avoid the burning wreck; if you get too close to it you will start taking damage.
  8. At the end of the bridge is a KPA patrol with a humvee. Take it out.
  9. Keep following the main road.
  10. When you see the dirt road to the right, turn on it and follow it to the peninsula.
  11. Eliminate any KPA and destroy the AA gun.
  12. TIP: Once again, stealth works well here. Not only is there a sizable KPA force on the peninsula, there are also patrol boats in the water. Lay low and avoid enemies.
  13. Once you destroy the AA gun on the peninsula is destroyed, follow the dirt road back to the main highway and follow it southeast towards the village.
  14. When you get to the small village, a helicopter will attack you. Destroy it, but watch out for other KPA forces and machine gun emplacements in the area.
  15. TIP: If you need a rocket launcher, there are two on top of the crates in the middle of the village.
  16. Keep following the road to the warehouse complex at the harbor.
  17. TIP: There is an entrance to the sewer just outside the warehouse and docks area close to the roadblock. You can use this to bypass some of the forces in the area, but keep in mind that they will eventually find you.
  18. In the middle of the harbor, there's another AA gun. Destroy it.
  19. TIP: If you're running low on C4, there's a cache of weapons and ammo on the first floor of the main warehouse in the office.
  20. Once the AA gun is destroyed, Psycho will send you off to disable the jamming device on the cruiser.
  21. Use your strength power to jump off the harbor onto the KPA cruiser.
  22. Yet another helicopter will attack you. Take it out.
  23. TIP: If you need rockets, there are two launchers on the crates in the back of the cruiser.
  24. Defeat the KPA soldiers on the cruiser so you can safely reach the console.
  25. Find the control console inside the North Korean battle cruiser and turn it off to disable it.
  26. After disabling the console, jump to the dock and get a safe distance away.
  27. Look at the cruiser through your binoculars and click on it to tag it for the military air strike.
  28. Once the cruiser is destroyed, you will be attacked by another helicopter. Destroy it. If you need rockets, you can find them inside the warehouses and on the docks.
  29. Using strength mode, jump over the fence behind the warehouses and meet up with the tanks at the entrance to the railroad tunnel.

Onslaught

Team Idaho

  1. Drive your tank out of the tunnel and through the valley to the train station.
  2. TIP: It isn't absolutely necessary to destroy every enemy tank or humvee in the valley, but it's best to keep a "shoot them before they shoot you" mentality.
  3. When you reach the train station at the end of the valley, destroy any enemy forces so the VTOL can land. Watch out for KPA humvees, tanks, and soldiers with rocket launchers.
  4. Using your tank, destroy the train car blocking the tracks by shooting the boxcar full of munitions.
  5. TIP: If your tank was destroyed, there is an empty KPA tank behind one of the houses at the train station that you can use.

Phase Line Alpha

  1. Follow the dirt road down into the valley.
  2. Take out the anti-aircraft guns so Major Strickland can send in an air strike to destroy out the KPA munitions depot at the end of the valley.
  3. There are three AA guns. The first is in the middle of the valley, the second by the road at a KPA barricade, and the third is up on the side of the mountain.
  4. Once you destroy the anti-aircraft guns, get to the overlook point on your GPS and paint the target with your binoculars. The overlook point is a sniper tower, so watch out for the KPA soldier with the precision rifle already stationed inside it.
  5. After Strickland orders the air strike, get to the now destroyed munitions store and head southeast towards the mining complex.
  6. Take out the enemies at the barricade. Grenades work well here since there are two KPA machine gun emplacements on either side of the barricade.
  7. Follow the road behind the barricade and jump over the huge ditch in the road to the other side.

Awakening

Tremors

  1. Follow the road to the KPA base. There are no enemies along the road, so speed mode is applicable here. Make sure you change back to armor mode when you find the base.
  2. TIP: A frontal attack on the base can be deadly, so it's wise to stay undercover. On the right side there's a hole in the fence that you can crouch through to get inside. Once you are inside, beware of tanks and KPA military trucks.
  3. Enter the base and find the KPA intelligence console. It is on the second floor of the building to the far left of the entrance. KPA infantry heavily guards it. There are also weapons and ammo inside the same building.
  4. Once you've downloaded the intelligence, follow the road east towards the crusher yard.
  5. Eliminate any KPA forces in the area so the VTOLs can land with more reinforcements. Several enemy nanosuit soldiers will be on the rooftops with precision rifles and miniguns. Infantry will also be manning the machine guns on the catwalks of the main building.
  6. TIP: Gauss rifles and ammo can be found inside the VTOLs. The Gauss Rifle is very powerful, especially during the later parts of the game.

Descent

  1. Take the dirt road behind the crusher yard and head down into the excavation site.
  2. Head to the opposite end of the excavation site. Fight through the fortifications in front of the excavation shaft door. Watch out for KPA soldiers in the trenches and machine gun emplacements. There are also enemy nanosuit soldiers with miniguns.
  3. Enter the excavation shaft. There are several KPA soldiers (including nanosuit soldiers) inside the main shaft area, so you'll need to kill them before you can move on.
  4. Follow the tunnels deeper into the complex and find the elevator. Watch out for enemy nanosuit soldiers.
  5. Jump down onto the elevator car. Wait for your health to recharge, and then jump down to the floor.
  6. Follow the passage to the left and go out into the open cave area.
  7. When you get to the large cavern, jump across the gap between the two outcrops of rock.
  8. Turn left at the fork in the tunnels.
  9. Follow the tunnel up to the main cavern.
  10. CUTSCENE: While eavesdropping on the archaeologists and their captors, you are caught by an enemy nanosuit soldier and taken to General Kyong. Kyong then pressures the archaeologists to open the temple, and in turn blows the charges on the door. The blast of energy from the temple kills the two soldiers holding you and your suit restarts.

Guardian

  1. Defeat General Kyong.
  2. TIP: If you need weapons, search around on the ground in front of the platform Kyong is standing on. There are more around the catwalks if you need them. Kyong himself isn't that hard to kill - he's basically just a really powerful nanosuit soldier with a minigun. Several straight bursts of gunfire to his head will easily kill him.
  3. Get to the elevator and ride it up with Helena. Before long it will break. Vulture 4 will come to rescue Helena. Before you can get out, however, the elevator will drop and you will fall to the bottom floor.

Core

Laws of Nature

  1. TIP: You'll want to stock up on weapons and ammo, since it will be more scarce within the temple. You can find them lying around the catwalks.
  2. Break the grate and enter the temple.
  3. Find the second grate and break it, then go through it.
  4. TIP: If you don't want to waste ammo, you can break the grates by punching them.
  5. Follow the caverns and go through the small circular tunnel at the end.
  6. Walk along the bottom of the large room to the end.
  7. NOTE: You'll lose gravity at this point, which you will have to get used to. When fighting in no-gravity areas, you'll need to look in all directions (including up and down). Keep track of your enemies and know where they are.
  8. Take the open tunnel on the left and follow it up to the grate on the side of the wall.
  9. Break the grate and enter it.

Abyss

  1. Take the tunnel at the top of the room and follow it.
  2. A ways down the tunnel, an alien will attack you. It will eventually run off, so you don't have to kill it.
  3. Keep following the tunnel.
  4. When you start getting pushed back by the air current, shoot the glowing yellow core with the metal pieces rotating around it. This will disable the strong airflow allowing you to move past it.
  5. Continue down the tunnel and stop at the room with several junctions.
  6. Move towards the opening at the very top.
  7. CUTSCENE: You have your first face-to-face with an alien ectomorph.
  8. Travel back up through the same opening.
  9. Follow the tunnel to the grate.
  10. Once you enter the tunnel again, the same alien from the cutscene will attack you. Kill it.
  11. TIP: The shotgun works best when fighting aliens, since they will charge you head-on. A couple point blank blasts will kill them easily. Also, if they get close enough you can grab and throw them like any other enemy infantry.
  12. Break the grate and follow the tunnel.
  13. When you get to the large stasis chamber, destroy all the glowing cores so you can move on.
  14. NOTE: As you destroy the cores, more and more alien ectomorphs will awake from stasis. Watch out for them.
  15. Once you destroy all the cores, find the tower with the blue lights around it and follow the tunnel at the top of it.
  16. Find the grate at the end of the caverns and knock it out.
  17. Take a left and follow the tunnel to the large room at the end.
  18. TIP: If you need weapons an ammo; there are some munitions in the two pods on the sides of the room.
  19. When you get to the large room, find the tunnel to the left of the alien control panel. Follow it.
  20. The transparent walls in the large room are timed. Once the one in front of you disappears, travel through it to the next section and repeat. Watch out for aliens.
  21. Once you get to the end of the room, take the small passage to the left, and let it pull you through.
  22. When the current stops pulling you, you'll be in a large room with a window at the far end.
  23. Go to the large window, then go back and look at the glowing cave schematic in the middle of the room.
  24. Wait for the large door at the other end of the room to open. When it does, kill the aliens that come out of it.
  25. Travel through the passage and towards the second door. When you get to it, it will open itself.
  26. Follow the room to the far end.
  27. Everything will go black. When you can see again, there will be several aliens in the room.
  28. Kill all the alien ectomorphs.
  29. After all the aliens are dead, the door will open.
  30. Travel through the tunnel and out of the alien cave system.

Paradise Lost

  1. CUTSCENE: Gravity is restored, and the outer doors open. Vulture 4 comes to pick you up but is hit by a barrage of aliens along with a blast of ice. After you are blown out of the tunnel, everything is frozen.
  2. Travel down the hill.
  3. Another squad of alien troopers will attack you. Kill them and move on.
  4. NOTE: After you kill alien troopers, their corpses will charge up and then explode. Make sure you're out of range when they blow up.
  5. Travel up the hill and then down the path between the cliffs.
  6. Make your way to the bottom of the hill where the small village is. Kill any aliens along the way.
  7. CUTSCENE: You jump down to the village and find the Marine force that Strickland sent. They are frozen. Prophet then enters the scene with an alien weapon he rigged.

Passage

  1. Take out all the aliens in the area.
  2. Prophet's suit will start malfunctioning and he will need to find a heat source to recharge.
  3. TIP: Although it isn't completely necessary, it's best to take Prophet's alien machine gun. It works well against aliens and doesn't require ammunition.
  4. More aliens will attack you. Kill them all.
  5. Once all the aliens are dead, a scout will come in and cut a path through the ridge. Walk through it.
  6. CUTSCENE: You and prophet hide among the rocks while an alien scout shoots at you.
  7. Escort Prophet to the burning fuel tank.
  8. Once his suit power is restored, keep moving.
  9. Head through the village, and take Prophet to the burning humvee in the middle.
  10. Protect Prophet from the alien scouts while he is recharging his suit power.
  11. Keep moving towards the objective on your GPS and cover Prophet when he recharges his suit.
  12. Follow the path around the mountain and up to the bridge.
  13. Cross the bridge.

Exodus

  1. Meet up with the marines inside the roadside cafe just past the bridge.
  2. TIP: The Gauss Rifle is one of the best weapons for fighting aliens with. One shot will kill an alien trooper and two will destroy a scout. You can find a gauss rifle and SCAR ammo inside the cafe.
  3. Take out all the aliens outside. There will be both scouts and troopers. Generally, the scouts will be dropping troopers and flying around higher up in the sky. The troopers will stay around the village area outside the cafe.
  4. Once all the aliens are dead, get inside the humvee so the convoy can move down the road.
  5. Destroy any aliens with the humvee's machinegun on your way down the hill.
  6. NOTE: Make sure you do your best to destroy all the aliens since you are stuck in the vehicle until you get to the end of the road.
  7. Once the humvee stops at the edge of the road, get out.
  8. Jump down the cliff and onto the ground below.

Hunter

  1. Make your way to the crashed VTOL in the valley.
  2. While Prophet and the marines get Helena out of the VTOL, get into the AA gun and help fight the alien scouts circling above the site.
  3. TIP: If the damage on the AA gun hits 90%, get out and move to a safe distance before it blows up and kills you. Also, the AA gun fires missiles, but they are harder to aim. Focus on using bullets to take down the alien scouts.
  4. Once all the aliens are destroyed, a VTOL will land. Helena and Prophet go aboard and you will stay behind to help evacuate the marines.
  5. Travel north to the evac point through the valley and up the hill.

Strickland's Order

  1. Once you get to the evacuation point, get into an empty AA gun and help take down the alien scouts. If your AA emplacement is destroyed, you can find gauss rifle ammo and rocket launchers on top of the crates.
  2. Eventually the large alien exosuit will reach the camp.
  3. When the VTOLs land, head for the one landing by Major Strickland. The other one will be destroyed by the exosuit.
  4. CUTSCENE: Major Strickland stays behind to draw the alien exosuit's fire so you can escape in the VTOL with the marines.

Ascension

  1. CUTSCENE: The pilot is hit by the alien scouts' weapons and you take his place in the cockpit.
  2. Pilot the VTOL through the valley and out to the sea. Provide support fire when necessary.
  3. TIP: You can just bypass the secondary objectives in the valley. Try to keep a good distance away from the alien scouts and follow the valley out to sea. If you are unsure of where to go, use your tactical map and GPS to find your way.

Reckoning

CUTSCENE: The marines bring an alien back on board, which is found to harness nearby resources to power itself. Helena explains that all the alien fossils the archaeologists found draw from any near by power sources.

Good Intentions

  1. Make your way into the carrier and find the door with the green light. Open it.
  2. NOTE: It's hard to lose your way inside the carrier since all the doors are locked or otherwise inaccessible, except the one you need to open.
  3. CUTSCENE: Helena and the Admiral argue about what to do with island. The Admiral claims that nuking the island is the best option, but Helena tries to buy more time to find a more efficient weapon.
  4. Walk through the carrier interior and find the armory.
  5. Once Prophet gets up and leaves, take a seat in the chair.
  6. After Helena and the scientist are finished, head back up to the Admiral.
  7. CUTSCENE: The Admiral launches a nuke to destroy the sphere, but the explosion only makes it bigger. The aliens emerge from the sphere and start to attack the USS Constitution.

To Hell and Back

  1. Using your fists and strength mode, bash down the door to the hallway.
  2. NOTE: There will be several doors in this level that you will have to break open. These will be marked with a green light on their sides.
  3. Head to the flight deck and defend it.
  4. After the aliens retreat, the Admiral will send you to the aircraft carrier's nuclear reactor core to help some trapped engineers.
  5. Find the ladder on the west side of the carrier and climb down it to the bottom deck.
  6. Head inside the large doors on the side of the aircraft carrier.
  7. Jump down the elevator shaft and land on the elevator car. After a few seconds, it will break and you'll fall to the bottom floor.
  8. Make your way through the hallways and find the engineer and marines.
  9. Head through the door and go up the stairs at the end of the room.
  10. Turn off the circuit breaker next to the locked door under the flashing red light.
  11. Go back down the stairs and go through the door under the second floor.
  12. Use strength to jump through the hole in the wall and onto the second floor on the other side of the door.
  13. Walk through the hallway and then climb the up ladder to the maintenance duct.
  14. Head into the maintenance duct and drop down on the other side into the reactor control room.
  15. Push the large red button in the middle of the console in the reactor control room.
  16. Helena will send a signal through your suit to weaken the aliens inside the reactor. Before long, they will break through the window and open the door to the control room.
  17. After the aliens blow the door open, go inside the reactor core and manually lower each of the four the rods.
  18. NOTE: The core is extremely dangerous and your nanosuit can only take so much. Don't spend too much time inside or you will die.
  19. Head back through the doors to the control room.
  20. NOTE: When you come to the generators underwater, don't jump into the water. It will harm you. Instead, jump onto the top of the generator, and then over to the catwalk on the other side.
  21. Make your way to the elevator, and then ride it up to the main floor. Kill any aliens you find.
  22. Find the door at the far end of the room, and then go through the hallway.
  23. Get to the door at the opposite end of this room as well. Eliminate any alien troopers along the way.
  24. Head to the lab area and take the TAC cannon from the holder in the wall.
  25. Make your way to the flight deck. On your way, you'll come across the Admiral. He gets killed by an alien trooper and tells you that you need to save everybody.
  26. Continue up to the flight deck.

Last Stand

  1. Defeat the alien exosuit. Helena will weaken it by transmitting a signal through your suit, so unlike before you are able to kill it.
  2. TIP: You can use any weapon against it, but the minigun and rocket launcher work best against the exosuit. There's a minigun and several magazines for it propped up against a destroyed fighter jet on the runway, and rocket launchers can be found around lying around the flight deck.
  3. NOTE: If the alien exosuit gets too close and picks you up, don't panic. He will throw you back and your nanosuit your nanosuit will absorb most of the damage. However, watch out for the ice gun mounted on its underside. If it hits you and you become frozen, getting hit with any other weapon (such as an alien scout's cannon) will result in instant death.
  4. Once the exosuit is destroyed, Psycho and Helena will come to your rescue. But before you can be picked up, the alien warship will rise up on the left side of the carrier.
  5. Take out the four turrets on the around the main part of the warship so Psycho can get the VTOL in closer.
  6. Once all the turrets are destroyed, protect Psycho's VTOL from the alien scouts as Helena sends another signal to disable the warship.
  7. When Psycho gives you the go-ahead, pull out the TAC Cannon and hold it over the left wing of the ship until it locks on. Once this is done, shoot the wing with the cannon.
  8. Cover the VTOL from the alien scouts while Helena works on the other side.
  9. When they tell you to take it out, lock on to the right wing with the TAC Cannon and fire.
  10. The warship will rise and start flying over the flight deck.
  11. Defend yourself from the aliens troopers and scouts. You can find ammo for the gauss rifle and the SCAR around the flight deck if you need it.
  12. When the underside of the alien warship opens up, lock onto the glowing opening with your TAC Cannon and fire a nuke into it.
  13. Get to Psycho's VTOL. It will be close to the forward end of the flight deck. You'll need to jump from the ship to the VTOL otherwise you will fall into the sea.
  14. CUTSCENE: The alien warship crashes into the USS Constitution and sinks. Psycho receives a communication from Prophet, who is still on the island fighting aliens. Instead of meeting up with the Japanese fleet, you fly back to the island to help Prophet.
