Crawford
Crawford is a documentary that details the changes in and around a small Texas town (population 800) in the years since President George W. Bush purchased a five-acre ranch there in 1999. The film focuses on the economic and ideological changes—as well as interpersonal conflicts—wrought upon a community made to serve as backdrop to a presidential campaign and an ongoing symbol of a presidency. It also chronicles the effects of the local anti-war protests spearheaded by Cindy Sheehan. While a bit of national notoriety might not be expected to discrupt a community, Crawford is portrayed as a town that has been profoundly changed by the experience.
