Country Music Marathon

Guide Note

The Country Music Marathon is a marathon that takes place in Nashville, Tennessee. This year's event takes place on April 25th and April 26, 2008.

On Friday, the YMCA Country Music Kids' Marathon takes place. This event is modified just for kids. On the marathon they compete against other kids and try to complete 25.2 miles on their own or optionally with a group before race day. On April 25th, the participants will complete their last mile and cross the finish line, which is the same finish line that the adult marathon uses.

On Saturday, April 26th, the real marathon for the adults takes place. Both the Wheelchair Invitational and the Marathon and Half Marathon, take the participants over the most scenic parts of Nashville. This marathon will feature over 50 bands and dozens of high school cheerleaders and other organizations wanting to cheer on the event.

• 5:45 pm: 6th grade boys and girls and 5th grade boys
• 5:55 pm: 4th and 5th grade girls
• 6:05 pm: 4th grade boys
• 6:20 pm: 3rd grade boys
• 6:35 pm: 3rd grade girls
• 6:50 pm: 2nd grade boys and girls
• 7:05 pm: 1st grade boys and girls
• 7:20 pm: Kindergarten boys and girls (1/2 mile)

• 6:45 am: Wheelchair Invitational
• 7:00 am: Marathon & Half Marathon
• After the marathon: A giant party and concert
