Temperament
Cotons are sweet, happy and boisterous dogs that get along well with people and other dogs. Their intelligence makes them easily trainable.1
History
The Coton's ancestors are believed to have been brought to Madagascar by Spanish and Portuguese sailors around the 15th or 16th century to serve as companions and rid the ships of rats.2
