Cornell Big Red Men's Basketball

Guide Note:The Cornell Big Red men's basketball team plays Division I college basketball in the Ivy League. Cornell has been playing basketball since 1898, and has been an Ivy League member since 1957. Ken Bantum is considered perhaps the greatest player in Cornell history, winning the 1958 Ivy League player of the year award. The team has won just 2 regular season championships. The first was in 1988, and the second came in 2008. Because the Ivy League is the only Division I level conference not to hold a post-season conference tournament, the Big Red will represent the league in the 2008 NCAA Tournament.
