Gameplay
Conflict: Denied Ops features two CIA operators with opposite personalities: the stealthy Lincoln Graves, a former Marine and sniper, and the boisterous Reggie Lang, a machine gun operator. Graves uses an SR-25 with an undermounted M26 MASS, while Lang prefers an M249 PARA with an undermounted M203 grenade launcher.
In single player mode, the player has the option of controlling either character interchangeably, while in co-op, each player controls one specific agent for the duration of the game. The agents are only able to use their weapon of choice, and cannot pick up enemy weapons. Ammunition is unlimited, but explosives are not and must be replenished at resupply boxes throughout the levels in Africa, Siberia and South America.
Story
The story revolves around a fictional Venezuelan conflict in which General Ramirez is plotting a coup to overtake control of the country. He first sends troops to seize the Petro Nivera Oil refinery, threatening to deploy nuclear weapons if the United States continues to "meddle in his country's affairs." Graves and Lang are dispatched on a series of missions to take care of General Ramirez and any extraneous threats. They encounter a number of conflicts seemingly connected to Ramirez until he is successfully taken into custody.
