Condemned Criminal Origins Walkthrough

1 - Weisman Office Building
- You're in your car at the scene of a serial killer's latest murder. Once you are out of your car, follow Dickenson into the building by ducking under the crime scene tape.
- When Dickenson's flashlight goes out, follow the directions to turn yours on. Enter the room and go through the first door on your right. A dead bird lies on one of the shelves lining the walls. Keep your eye open for these as your progress through the game.
- After meeting Officer Becker, follow the detective into the next room. Lieutenant Rosa calls you on your cell phone and instructs you to collect a sample from the body. Move next to the body and pull out your UV light. Follow the prompts on the screen to send the sample to Rosa.
- The cut scene gives you a clue where to look next. Stand next to the mannequin and take out your laser light tool. Point it at the mannequin's face and then take a picture with your digital camera.
- Dickenson smells cigarette smoke and goes to investigate. Follow him through the door on the left that was previously inaccessible. The lights go out and it's your job to turn them back on.
- After the cut scene, you receive a phone call warning of an addict in the building with you. Go through the door and the psycho comes at you from the right side. A head-shot dispatches him quickly.
- Go through the door directly in front of you. Another junkie lies on the floor behind the desk. Press down on the right analog stick to kick him. The black cabinet against the wall contains a health kit.
- Head through the door on the right and up the stairs. Go straight ahead, turn left at the corner, and then right. On the wall painted with eyes, look for your first metal piece.
- Backtrack to the doorway near the stairs. As you approach, a pile of debris is knocked over, giving you access to the next room. Your trail-breaker is hiding behind a column in the middle of the room. He's only got a pipe, so let him run at you and down him with a head-shot. Grab the dead bird lying on the window sill. A health kit is in the blue cabinet at the other end of the room.
- Go through the doorway and follow the path until you come to a larger room with light shining through the windows. A junkie runs from the room, but you can't follow him. Move to the upper right corner of the room and open the door. Flip the switch on the power box to turn the lights back on.
- Now that you've lost your gun, you need a new weapon. Move into the next room, where there are three weapons to choose from. The small pipe has a greater reach and does more damage than the conduit, which has improved block and speed. The 2x4 Bolts have the greatest speed, but do the least damage of the three. Choose your weapon and then shove the desk out of the way to continue.
- Go through the doorway on the left to find a dead bird and some health kits.
- Head back the other way just in time to see the suspect climb through a hole in the ceiling. You can't follow, so continue straight ahead and to the right. Two thugs run at you. Stand in the doorway so you can fight them one at a time.
- If you're unhappy with the weapon you chose, some large pipes can be found in this room.
- Head through the hole the thugs created and follow the hall to the left. Straight ahead, the wall is covered with eyes. Look for another metal piece.
- Continue forward, past the yellow mop bucket, and into a large room with a hole in the floor. Press X to pull out your gas spectrometer. It guides you to a dead bird on the left side of the room behind some shelves.
- Head out of this room and turn right at the yellow bucket. Move through the doorway next to the first aid kit to find a staircase.
- Continue forward and Dickensen hollers at you from the building next door. Grab the fire-axe he throws to you and pick up the dead bird lying at your feet.
- Backtrack all the way to the doorway at the top of the stairs. Look for a brown door nearby. Hack through it with the axe to find a TV. You've just found the Bronze Detective Badge Achievement.
- Go back to where you spoke with Dickensen and move into the next room. Look for another brown door that you can break down with the fire axe. A thug waits for you on the other side. Use your taser to stun him and then lay into him with the axe. One whack should do it. Look for a health kit in the black cabinet on the right side of the room.
- Move forward through the rooms until you come to a narrow corridor with #some desks on the left and pipes covering the wall at the end. A health kit lies on a shelf here. Continue forward and you'll see a thug grab a pipe from the wall and hide behind a pillar. Take him down, but be wary of a second thug who comes up on you from behind.
- From here, move into the large room in front of you and look for a dead bird on a worktable. Go through the doorway on the right for a first aid kit. A sledgehammer is in the black cabinet across from it. Move into the room beyond these and look for a column covered with painted eyes. It contains your third and final metal piece.
- Leave the construction area and enter an area with graffiti-covered walls. Beat down the two thugs waiting for you and go through the doorway into the next room. Somebody whacks you on the head.
2 - Central Metro Station
- You wake up in your apartment, where an old friend of your father is waiting for you. The police arrive and Malcolm sends you down the fire escape. He tells you to head for the metro station.
- Look for a shovel in the alley. Use it to bust through the chain link fence. The shovel is too slow for fighting, so drop it and grab a conduit from the wall.
- Head down the stairs and, after the cut scene, scan the photos in the garbage can. Rosa asks for a sample of the liquid smudges on the photos. Go to the end of the alley and use the laser light on the jugs in the corner. Use your sampler tool to take a sample for Rosa.
- A thug with a crowbar comes around the corner. Take him out and then grab his crowbar. Use it to open the control box next to the garage door. Head inside, but be ready for two thugs who come at you from behind.
- From the garage door, move straight ahead until you reach the wall and turn left. Enter the office on the right and look for a dead bird on the floor.
- Go back to the garage door and turn left. Open the door in the chain link fence and look for a .45 caliber pistol inside the blue cabinet.
- Leave this office and move around to the door on the other side. Look for a health kit on the shelves before going up the stairs.
- Go into the Manager's office and move forward until you receive a phone call from Vanhorn. Now turn left and enter the office for a first aid kit. A thug presses himself against the frosted glass, just urging you to shoot him.
- Head upstairs and go through the door on the right marked Lounge. A first aid kit is in the kitchen. Move one of the couches to for a .45 caliber pistol.
- Exit the lounge through the second door and go downstairs to the basement. In the kitchen marked Di Angelo's, take out the thug hiding behind some shelves and grab the shotgun from the counter. There is also a first aid kit here.
- As you move further into the basement, a vagrant with a pistol comes at you. After taking him down, open the door marked Archives and head upstairs. At the top of the stairs, enter the room on the right. You find a sledgehammer, a first aid kit, and a wall covered with painted eyes. Move the filing cabinet for your first metal piece.
- Don't pick up the sledgehammer just yet. You have a few thugs to fight before you can use it and a faster weapon is more efficient. The door into the next room is locked, so point your camera at the doorknob for a prompt to unlock it.
- Two thugs are hanging out in the lounge. After taking them out, head into the next room and move all the way to the two soda machines at the far end of the staircase. Two more thugs run up the stairs. Beat them down and then grab the sledgehammer. Bust through the padlock on the exit door and then drop the sledgehammer for a faster weapon.
- Move through the locker room and down the two sets of stairs. Note the safe against the wall, which requires a crowbar to open. After a second call from Vanhorn, head through a second door to find a crowbar propped against some newsstands. Grab it and pry open the safe. A pump shotgun with three shells is inside.
- Go back to where you found the crowbar and head up the stairs. Duck under the half-open gate to enter the main subway concourse. A few vagrants are wandering around in here. Take them out before using your spectrometer. Now move to the ATM machine at the far end of the concourse to find a dead bird.
- From there, move to the corridor off the right side of the concourse. Go all the way down until it branches to the left and right. Turn right and push one of the trolleys out of the way to find a dead bird. There's also a first aid kit on the wall in case those vagrants gave you a problem.
- Continue down the left branch of the corridor. A thug is hiding in the sushi restaurant on the left. Enter the kitchen to find a health kit on the wall and move the TV for .45 caliber pistol.
- Another thug is hiding behind the pillars in the next room. Take him out and then pull out your laser light. Follow the trail of developer fluid and you'll see that it leads behind a gate. Put away the laser light and move into the corridor on the left side of the room. Two more thugs are waiting for you in the next room. Use the laser light to confirm that the trail of fluid leads through the door at the far end of the room and down the stairs.
- At the bottom of the stairs, go through the door. Note the door on the right that requires a fire axe to get through. Use the laser light and follow the trail to an elevator. The elevator UP button has a fingerprint. Pull out your scanner tool and send the print to Rosa.
- You're informed that you need to restore power to get the elevator working. Move further into the room and up a short flight of stairs. Note another door on the right that requires a fire axe to open. Keep going forward. The office on the left contains a first aid kit.
- A second short flight of stairs leads you to a third fire-axe door directly in front of you. Turn to the alcove on the right and jump to the sub-basement below.
- Move forward to find a wall covered with painted eyes. Grab the metal piece and then climb back up to the floor above.
- At the top, go through the doorway to the left of the two filing cabinets. When you enter the room with the first aid kit on the wall, a couple of thugs come at you through the two bay doors. Take them out and then go through the bay doors to find the fire axe hanging on the wall.
- Head back to one of the fire-axe doors that lead to the power room. On the way, watch out for a thug with a fire axe. When you hack through the door, another thug surprises you from behind. Flip the power switch and then pilfer the first aid kit on the wall if you need it. If you're paying attention, you'll see a new enemy type scurry quickly from the elevator.
- Don't take the elevator just yet. Remember, there were three fire-axe doors. Head back to the first one to find the Ripple TV Achievement. If you need it, grab the health kit on the nearby shelf.
- Take the elevator to the third floor. Upon exiting, head right and look for a dying bird on the floor on the left side of the room.
- Make your way through the maze of desks and filing cabinets. A health kit can be found in an alcove to the left. Go through the door on the right, since a thug has just blocked your path forward.
- There's a safe through another door on the right, but you need a crowbar to open it. A first aid kit hangs on the wall in this room.
- Two thugs are lurking in the room with the large glass window. From here, head to an alcove on the right to find a crowbar and a health kit on some shelves. Backtrack to the safe for a .45 caliber pistol.
- In the room with the large window, two more thugs appear. One of them wields a shotgun, so take him out first. Note the first aid kit on the wall on the left side of this room.
- Head around the other side of the large window and through the door on the left. If you need a health kit, turn left and look in the alcove on the right. Otherwise, continue into the main room. In the men's room, a dead bird is lying on the toilet in the first stall. A sledgehammer is in the women's room.
- Don't pull out your laser light when the prompt appears onscreen. Notice a locked door on your right. Look through the window to see a thug running down the stairs. Move to the balcony and he jumps up at you. Teach him a lesson.
- Enter the next room and, after the cut scene, go through the door on the right. Grab the metal piece from the wall. Don't move the cabinet yet. Activate your laser light and look on the left side of the cabinet. Scan the evidence and send it to Rosa. Now move the cabinet and head through the door.
- Move to the left, past the shelf with a health kit, and look for a room with a reel-to-reel audio recorder. Use your laser light to discover a handprint. Take a sample and send it Rosa. Notice the health kit on the shelf.
- Back in the room you started in, move around the partition. Open the filing cabinet for a revolver.
- Now open the door to enter the darkroom. Take a picture of the newspaper clippings on the wall. After speaking with Rosa, exit the darkroom to confront the suspect. If you still have the shotgun from the previous zone, he goes down in one or two shots.
- When you come to, you see the man in the orange jumpsuit running from the room. Climb through the window to pursue him. Make your way through the offices until you reach a balcony overlooking the subway concourse. Grab your final dead bird from the railing. Look over the balcony to see the man in the orange jumpsuit running below you.
- Enter the stairwell on the left and head for the main concourse. A thug runs up to greet you. When you enter the main room, a shower of birds crashes through the large windows overhead. They evaporate as they hit the ground.
- Head to where you saw the man in the jumpsuit, the entrance to tracks 25-31. Go through the door on the right to end the chapter.
3 - Metro Station Platforms
- You have no weapon when you start the chapter, so arm yourself before entering the next room. Pick up the dead bird on top of the newsstand to the right of the escalator and then head downstairs.
- At the bottom, the man in the orange jumpsuit runs around the corner. Don't go after him just yet. Head to the right and look for an alcove with some elevators. A fire axe hangs on the wall. Three vagrants are hanging out in the terminal and one of them has a revolver. Stay in the alcove and they eventually come to you, letting you pick them off one by one.
- One of the benches in the center of the terminal has a dead bird.
- At the far end of the terminal, look for a fire-axe door next to a shoe shine stand. The trash can beside the door has a .45 caliber inside.
- In the next room, the cabinet on the left has a health kit. After moving the shelves, the third cabinet in your path holds a dead bird.
- Back in the main terminal, you see a vagrant standing in the center of the hallway, just past two soda machines. Move forward, but don't engage him. A second thug jumps out and the two fight it out. Finish off the victor.
- Two or three more thugs are lurking further up the corridor, in the area with the ticket booths. An alcove next to the first booth has a fire axe on the wall. The booth on the left side has a first aid kit on the wall.
- In the next area with the turnstiles, two lunatics with shotguns are lurking. One comes from the left side and the other jumps over the turnstiles and comes from the right. A .45 caliber is hidden in a trash can on the right side.
- After finishing them off, go up the left side to a third ticket booth. A metal piece is concealed by the cash register.
- Use a fire axe to hack your way through the door on the right side of the booth. Grab the first aid kit on the wall if you need it. Then pick up the dead bird from on top of the TV set. Open the black cabinet for a crowbar and use it to pry open the safe for a pump shotgun.
- Open the door into the next room, but move slowly. A fire axe door is at the other end and a lunatic with an axe tears through it for you. Another thug with a .45 awaits you in the next room.
- Continue down the ramp until you come across a dying bird on the ground. Use the nearby first aid kit and then climb over the chain on the left. Somebody shoves you down the escalator and you land in the midst of a scuffle. Back up as far as you can to prevent thugs from coming at you from behind. Use your taser freely. If you still have shells in your shotgun, you're good to go. If you need to, run back up the escalator and med up with the first aid kit on the wall.
- Go past the soda machines and turn left. Look for a metal piece on the wall beside the bench. Go down the hallway past the bench and grab the first aid kit if necessary.
- Head down the stairs and pick up the dead bird on the first landing. At the bottom, the man in the orange jumpsuit is on the train. Move to the back of the train and jump onto the tracks. Look for eyes on the wall and grab your final metal piece before climbing onto the train.
- Turn around so that you're looking at the tracks. After rolling for a while, a thug jumps onto the train. Knock him off and then ride the train to the end of the chapter.
4 - Grid 4 Subway Tunnels
- Pull out your gas spectrometer to find your first dead bird of the chapter. A bit further on, look for a doorway on the right. Arm yourself with a gas pip lying on the ground and continue to the left. You meet a new enemy type here, a fast guy who crawls on the ground and then jumps up to attack. They can be dispatched easily with the taser.
- Before climbing up the ladder, grab the shotgun lying on the ground.
- Pass through the gate and turn right. In the next room, a second crawler jumps from behind a box and launches himself at you. Don't waste shotgun shells. One shot from the taser takes him down.
- Continue following the path until you get to a ledge and are prompted to jump down. When you land and begin moving forward, three crawlers appear. One comes from the alcove to the right. Move past the alcove and head to the back of the room. Look for a large red tank. Go behind it and move the large board leaning against the wall. In this room, you find the Static TV Achievement and a pump shotgun.
- From here, go straight to the fence in front of you and turn left. Move all the way to the end and look for a metal piece behind the last strut. Three more crawlers appear as you move past the fence.
- Head back to the alcove near the ledge. The gate in front of you requires a shovel to open and you have the option of going left or right to find one. Go right. At the next branch, turn right and follow the long corridor to a room with a shovel. As you head out, be careful. There's a thug with a pipe running around.
- Instead of going back to the locked gate, move straight ahead to the wall with the electrical boxes. Turn right. Use the shovel to break through this second locked gate and grab some health kits if you need them.
- Now bust open the first locked gate and climb up the ladder. At the top, go right. There's a crawler up here with you. Follow the planks until you're above the enclosed area in the first room. Use the power boxes to jump down.
- You find yourself back on the train tracks. Move to the right until you come upon a stopped subway car. Hop on board and pull out your UV light. Look for a fire extinguisher directly to the left of the car's first entrance and scan it for fingerprints. Rosa tells you the print is too smudged. Pull out your sampler and collect a sweat sample.
- As soon as you send the sample, look out the window. The man in the orange jumpsuit limps to a gate directly across from you and locks it from the other side. There's also a goon with a sledgehammer waiting for you on the platform. Soon, three more thugs show up. Let them battle it out, but be careful. The skinny ones can enter the car and come after you.
- Use the goon's sledgehammer to open the locked gate. In the locker room, head to the large fan and take a picture of the subway map. The door at the bottom of the stairs is locked. Kick out the fan and then jump through the hole to the area below.
- Go to the right to find a door. In the next room, grab the dead bird off the floor by the sink and open the black cabinet for a health kit. Head out of the room and note the fire axe door at the end of the hall.
- Take the stairs by the fire axe door. Grab the fire axe from the pipe and go back upstairs to bust through the door. Two crawlers climb from the manhole in front of you. Go to the far end of this room, up the steps, and to the left. A sawed-off shotgun is hidden beneath the cardboard box. Grab a health kit if necessary and then jump down the manhole. Turn the steam valve, then climb back up and return to where you found the fire axe.
- As soon as you pass the checkpoint, a thug with a .45 comes at you from behind. Take him out and continue forward. Move downwards until you're informed that the suspect's trail has gone cold.
- Jump down into the lower part of the room. Head through the doorway next to the ladder. A crawler with a pipe runs to greet you. Make your way through this mini maze to a doorway in the back.
- After going down a couple of steps, go through the doorway on the left. Pull out your spectrometer to find a dead bird. It's hidden behind the barrels on the right side. Another dying bird is behind the fence, but you can't reach it yet.
- Head out of the room and continue down the corridor until you come to a room with a large turbine. Move around it and into the next room. Four thugs with pipes come at you. Be free with your taser and don't let them get behind you. Grab a health kit from the first aid station on the wall.
- Follow the corridor next to the first aid station and climb the ladder at the end of it. Two crazies await you at the top. Keep your back to a wall and try to fight them one at a time. After they're taken care of, look for a ladder at the back of the room. Use of the first aid kit on the wall if you need to.
- From there, go to the right for a dead bird lying on a cardboard box. At the other end of the platform, jump down into an adjoining room. The cabinet on the left has a health kit. The cabinet on the right has a crazy lady with a pipe.
- Head down the stairs and grab the dying bird on the third landing.
- Follow the path and pick up the shovel along the way. Keep following the path down the stairs and keep your eye open for a gate that requires a shovel to open. This causes an electrical fire. You need to increase steam pressure to rupture a pipe and put out the fire.
- Go up the stairs to the left. A thug comes at you from below. Kill him, turn the first steam valve, and then climb all the way to the top to find a second valve. When you start moving toward the second valve, two more thugs come at you.
- Head through the gate. You find yourself back on the tracks. Follow them until you find another door. Go along the hallway and grab the shotgun on the ground.
- There are several goons in the next room. One or two are the big guys with sledgehammers. Another guy with a gun is to the left. Take your time and they sometimes kill each other.
- Head up the stairs past the subway cars and onto the platform. Grab the dead bird from the workbench. Take a picture of the blueprint. Then zoom in on the red-circled areas and take another picture.
- Go through the door to right of the first aid station. In the workroom, pull out your UV light and point it at the end of the crowbar. Then use your sampler to collect evidence for Rosa. Grab the crowbar and head back to the subway car. A big thug is waiting for you on the platform.
- Head all the way to the end of the platform and go down the stairs. The boards covering the tracks have a metal piece. Move around the side of the car and look for a plank creating a bridge to the second subway car. Pry open the door with the crowbar.
- Before going inside, backtrack down the stairs and move down the side of the lower subway car. Crawl under the plank blocking your way and look for a fire door with a pump shotgun inside. Now you're ready to check out the upper subway car.
- Use your UV light to find a footprint on one of the seats on the right side of the car. Send a picture to Rosa. Open the ceiling compartment and some mannequin parts fall out. Scan one of the arms to identify the department store it comes from.
- As soon as you finish speaking to Rosa, a thug bursts into the train car. Take him out and then climb up the ladder near the entrance to the car. A couple more thugs are waiting at the top.
- Climb up the second ladder. Move forward until you come to a chain link fence, then turn left. You come to a room with a pump shotgun lying on the ground and a metal piece on the left wall.
- Go through the chain link fence. There are several thugs in this area. Try to let them fight amongst themselves as much as possible. This area should look familiar. Head back to the locker room where you kicked in the fan to finish the chapter.
5 - Bart's Department Store
- After a disturbing hallucination, you arrive at Bart's Department Store. Move all the way to the back of the room and look for a green Christmas package with red ribbon. A dead bird is on the floor beside it.
- Work you way around the escalators and go down the steps at the back of the room. As you move to the left, watch out for a bum who jumps from behind a pillar. Break through the shop's glass door and go through the door in the back.
- If the bum gave you problems, grab the health kit from the wall in the next room. Follow the path, moving the clothes racks out of the way. A bum gets shot and falls through the glass storefront. Climb over him and turn to the right.
- Move to the back of this area and look for a pillar covered with eyes. Grab the metal piece and then backtrack and go left past the body.
- Follow the corridor until you get to an area with two glass display cases. Bust into the right display case for a dead bird.
- In the next room, four thugs with Santa masks are posing as mannequins. On the left side of the room, there is a health kit lying on a display case. A sawed-off shotgun can be found in the alcove beside it.
- Also on the left side of the room is the dressing room. The last stall has a Revolver on the bench. Move deeper into the dressing room and pull out your laser light. Go to the desk and scan the spilled paint. After speaking with Rosa, use your UV light to find blood splatter on the wall above the desk.
- The two doors at the rear of the dressing room are now open. The office on the right has a sawed-off shotgun hidden behind a filing cabinet.
- Head through the door on the left and down the stairs. A junkie is cowering on the steps. Save your shotgun shells and kill her with your taser.
- You end up in another dressing room. When you pass the stalls, a thug dressed up like a mannequin comes at you...very slowly. You might want to hold off using your laser light until after you've taken him down. Follow the drag marks to a blocked elevator. Move the chair and watch the short cut scene.
- Grab the sledgehammer propping the elevator doors open and head back the way you came. Two enemies are waiting for you, possibly posing as mannequins. Look for a lit Noel candle immediately to your left. Use the sledgehammer to break through the door next to it.
- Med up with a health kit before heading down the escalator. Four thugs are waiting for you at the bottom, two of them with guns. Try to force them to waste their bullets before running in to melee. Then pull out your laser light and follow the drag marks.
- You need to find another route to the other side of the gate. Head to the back left of the room, almost diagonal from where you lost the trail. As you head up the stairs, look by the payphones on the right for a metal piece.
- Take out the two thugs at the top of the stairs and then look for a .44 in the glass case on the right. There is also a health kit on top of the case. From this display case, walk to the opposite side of the room. Look for a large wreath painted on the wall to find a dead bird nearby.
- To the right of the stairs is a passageway with a first aid kit on the wall. In the next room, a goon with a shotgun is hiding around the corner. Follow the path to the end. Some mannequins start to follow you. Yikes! At the end of the path, move around the display case and look for a hole in the wall to your left. Break through the glass and jump down to the floor below.
- Follow the corridor until you come to a hole in the ground. Don't jump in it yet. Move around it and break into the office at the end of the hall for a health kit and a sawed-off shotgun.
- That done, jump into the hole in the floor. Locate the drag marks in the floor and go the opposite way. The door directly in front of you has a health kit. Take a left and go through the first door on the left. A junkie and a first aid kit can be found in this room. The next passage leads to a fire axe door that you can't open yet.
- Backtrack and follow the drag marks into a flooded basement and then take a sample of the footprints. When you pull out your gas spectrometer, some boards stacked against the wall to the right begin falling down. A vagrant soon makes an appearance. Quickly re-equip your weapon and take him out.
- Before moving on, go straight down the steps you're standing on and move to the back wall. Turn left and look for a shelf with a metal piece nearby.
- Go through the hole in the wall created by the vagrant. Go up the stairs, past the door, and into the first room on the left. A dead bird is lying on a shelf, but there's a thug in the room too.
- Continue up the hallway to a second flooded room. Two junkies are lurking here. Grab the fire axe from a platform in the center of the room and then continue to the back of the room. Look for a passageway to the right. This fire axe door is the one you found when you first jumped through the hole in the floor.
- Go either direction back to the first flooded room, where you spoke with Rosa. A couple of thugs show up after you grab the axe, so be ready for them to come at you at a random moment.
- When you get to the first flooded room, look for a short flight of stairs with a fire axe doors at the top. Bust your way through, walk along the platform, and head through the door at the end. A junkie comes at you with a pipe. There's a dying bird on the desk to the right and a first aid kit on the wall.
- Go back out and head to the rear of the previous room, looking for some steps to the right. Break through the fire axe door and then turn to the right. Bust down another fire axe door marked Exit.
- The first room at the top of the stairs has a first aid kit on the rear right wall. In the next room, look in the second stall for a dead bird.
- Go around the corner and begin opening stall doors. The body can be found in the center stall on the right. Do as instructed and take a few pictures of the scene. When she tells you to search for more evidence, take out your laser light and point it at the victim's neck. Collect a sample of trace evidence.
- As you move out of the dressing room stall, two thugs are fighting. Clear them out and then continue into the next room. The cops are fighting some vagrants. Help them out and then move toward the police lights at the end of the room.
- After the phone call with Rosa, the cops throw some tear gas into the room. Run back to the other end of the room and look for an open doorway to your right. Take out the junkies in your way and continue down the narrow corridor to complete the chapter.
6 - Burnback Alley
- Grab the two dead birds lying on the plank in front of you.
- Head left and move the large board leaning against the wall for a third dying bird.
- Go down the passage to the right. A thug falls from a hole in the ceiling. Take him out and then continue down the hall. The blue cabinet on the left has a health kit and the TV is your Silver Detective Badge Achievement.
- On the cinder-block column next to the TV is a metal piece.
- As you head back to the first area, a couple of bums punch a whole in the wall to your left. They're hanging out in the first room and one of them has a locker door.
- Move toward the yellow lockers. The blue cabinet on the right contains a revolver. Continue past the lockers and pick up a health kit if the bums gave you a hard time.
- In the next room, a goon with a shotgun breaks through the wall. Use your taser to stun him and grab his weapon. Move the filing cabinet on the right to find a dead bird.
- Continue forward and, after the phone call from Rosa, look directly ahead of you for a wall with a metal piece.
- Jump out the window and look for a dying bird in the corner.
- Walk up the plank and jump off the roof onto the mattress below. A thug climbs the fence and runs at you with a 2x4. Follow the fence around to the right and then left. You'll find a dead board on a cardboard box.
- Jump down to the area below and head right. Your final metal piece is on the far road. Be careful because there's a gaggle of thugs running around down here. The dumpster in the back conceals a shotgun beneath it.
- Fight off the bums and make your way up the stairs and through the gate. Grab the health kits at the top and jump into the dumpster. Two bums jump in after you. Finish them off and finish the chapter.
7 - Metro City Library
- Head through the door in the back of the room on the left. The two gates on the right require a crowbar to open.
- In the main lobby, look for a health kit and a dead bird on the receptionist's desk.
- Head for the hallway opposite from where you entered the lobby. Call the elevator and head to the basement.
- After a fun hallucination, get off the elevator and head into the main room. Note a gate to the right that requires a crowbar to open. Continue past the desk and go down the hallway to find Rosa.
- After looking at your file, grab the super taser off the table. Go ahead and explore the rest of the area. There's a first aid kit and another elevator in the very back of the room. When you're ready, follow Rosa into the next room.
- Go into the room Rosa opened for you and grab a paper cutter off the shelf to the left. Make your way to the back of the room. Some scary stuff starts happening. Yes, you have to go into the cubicle with that creepy guy.
- Head back to the front of the office and Rosa throws a chair through the window. Crawl through and Rosa leads you to a working computer terminal she found.
- Apparently, something's happened to Rosa. Exit the office and take the hall to your right. Go through the only open door and follow the corridors. When the hall curves to the left, keep your eye open for a dead bird on a book cart.
- Continue down the hall and note the two fire axe doors on the left. When prompted, use the UV light to find and collect some blood. On the other side of the door, you can see Rosa's phone lying on the floor.
- You need a fire axe and, as soon as you hang up the phone, some crazies bust through the fire axe door behind you. One of them has your weapon. There's a health kit on a table to the right of the door.
- Before venturing further into this room, you might want to turn around and go all the way to the end of the hallway. A stack of books next to a water fountain can be shoved aside to reveal a metal piece.
- Now pursue the guy with the fire axe. He's fled through a door on the right side of the room. As soon as you go through the door a thug with a gun starts shooting at you.
- Against the wall directly opposite from the door is a moveable filing cabinet with a dying bird behind it.
- Move into the next room. A door on the left side of the room leads to a room with a sawed-off shotgun. When you find the guy with the fire axe, he's got two goons to support him and one of them has a shotgun. As you head back out of the room with the fire axe, a couple more thugs run to meet you.
- Use the fire axe to bust down the door to the server room. Pull out your UV light and head to the single row of servers on the right side of the room. The hand print you're looking for is in the middle. After taking a sample, the server door opens. Grab the crowbar and exit the room.
- Backtrack down the hall to the book trolley where you found the dead bird. To the left is a gated entrance. Use the crowbar to force your way through. Three thugs run past you and get in the elevator. That's where you're headed too.
- Take the elevator to the first floor. Remember there were a few doors that required a crowbar to open. When you enter the main lobby, the three thugs from downstairs are waiting for you. They all have firearms and one of them has a machine gun. Taser him and disarm him.
- Head back to the very beginning of the level. Use the crowbar to open the gate and grab the Bird Bath Achievement. A first aid kit is on the wall.
- Go back to the lobby and use the crowbar to open one of the gates blocking the stairwell to the second floor. Two thugs are waiting for you at the top of the stairs.
- Head into the Rare Books Room and you'll be prompted to take out your gas spectrometer. There's a dead bird and a sledgehammer near the wall in the back of the room. Pick up the sledgehammer. From here, go back along the right side of the room and look for a ladder padlocked to the wall. Knock it down with the sledgehammer.
- Slide the ladder to the other end of the shelves and climb up to find a dying bird on top of the bookcase. Move to the next bookshelf and jump down into the next part of the room. Rosa is lying on the floor in the back.
- Follow Rosa from the Rare Books Room. She opens a door that was previously inaccessible. Go through this reading room and through a door at the other end. Continue forward until you come to the burned room.
- Move all the way to the wall on the right and follow it into a narrow corridor. In the gated alcove, move a stack of books to find a metal piece on the wall.
- Go back to the main room and move to the center. Look for a brown stain on the ground. Step on it and you'll fall through the floor into the room below. After Rosa arrives with a light, head deeper into the room. Work your way through the maze of bookshelves, watching out for two or three crawlers lurking along the way.
- When you come to a large hole in the floor, Rosa tells you the only way forward is to jump down.
- Do as she says and make your way through a second labyrinth of bookshelves. At the far end of the room, look for a dead body lying next to a sawed-off shotgun.
- Continue into the next open area and confront a couple of crawlers. Grab the dead bird off the table in front of you. From here, go the far left wall and walk along the ends of the bookshelves. About halfway up the room is a study carrel with a first aid kit and a .45.
- A little further on, you come upon a group of thugs, some of them with guns.
- From here, go through the door on the left. Look in the far left corner for an eye-covered wall. Move the carrel for a metal piece.
- Head back into the burnt room and keep moving forward past the bookshelves. Rosa is waiting for you near the exit. Grab some health kits if you need to and follow her down into the basement. Open the doors at the bottom and watch the cut scene.
- After looking through the microfiche, take out the four thugs who rush you. Follow Rosa to the exit to end the chapter.
8 - St. Joseph's Secondary School
- Open the third door on the right and look behind the pile of desks for a dying bird.
- At the end of the hallway, the gate in front of you requires a sledgehammer to open. Turn to the right and go through the door at the end.
- In the second alcove on the left, look for a metal piece on the wall painted with eyes. Go through the hole in the wall on the right.
- Look for a sledgehammer leaning against the wall in the back. Grab it and go through the door in front of you. You're back in the hallway with the gated staircase.
- Head upstairs and head through either doorway. There are two bloody creepers inside. They can be downed with a single taser blast.
- Make your way to the Bunsen burner in the back of the room and look for a first aid station on the wall.
- Head through the door to the left of the burner, across the hallway, and into the next room. Three guys fall through the ceiling and come at you.
- Enter the next room and exit the door on the far side. Go into the bathrooms on the right side of the hallway and look for a dead bird on the floor.
- Exit the bathrooms and go through the door directly across the hall. A creeper is at the blackboard. Taser him and grab the gun on the desk before he can.
- Move to the chalkboard on the right and pull out your UV light. Take a sample of the bloody mess in the eraser tray for Rosa.
- Walk back towards the door and you'll fall through the floor. There's a creeper waiting for you.
- There's a door on both the right and left side of the room. They both ultimately lead to the same place. Head through the left door to find a first aid station on the wall. (The right door also leads to a first aid station)
- Enter the classroom next to it. As soon as you walk through the doorway, two or three creepers enter through a second door on the far end. After taking them out, go through that door into a kitchen area.
- Climb over the kitchen counter to get into the cafeteria. A couple of thugs with firearms are waiting for you. It's possible to kill at least one of them with two shots from the taser before climbing over the counter.
- On the other side of the counter, directly to the right, is a pump shotgun. There are two doorways on the right. Both lead to the same room and some goons with guns. One of them has a sub-machine gun. Be free with your taser.
- Follow the corridor to the left and go through the double doors to the right of the stairs. Grab some health kits before heading upstairs.
- At the first landing, go through either of the doors. A goon is hiding behind the bleachers.
- Head through the exit doors on the right end of the balcony. Jump down the to the floor below and immediately turn around. A creeper is lurking under the stairs.
- Follow the narrow corridor on the left side of the staircase to find a dying bird.
- Backtrack and go the opposite way down the corridor. Note a fire axe door on the left. Enter the room at the end of the hallway.
- You wind up in a large kitchen with a creeper. A first aid station is on the wall directly to the left of the entrance.
- On the left side of the room is a walk-in freezer. As soon as you walk in, some creepers on hooks slide across the ceiling toward you. Move forward slowly and take them down with you taser, one by one.
- In the next room of the freezer, a formidable opponent awaits: a butcher with a giant meat cleaver. Two hits and you're out. Keep yourself at a distance as much as possible. Wait for his swing, run in for a quick attack, and then retreat. Use your taser as soon as its ready to stun him for a second or two. Be careful not to let yourself get backed into a corner.
- Pick up the meat cleaver and move to the back of the freezer. A dead body on the table has a fire axe. Use the cleaver to hack off the dead guy's hand and grab the axe.
- Now head out of the kitchen and back down the corridor to the fire axe door. As soon as you picked up the axe, a couple of creepers appeared, so be ready to meet him somewhere along the way.
- After hacking through the fire axe door, you may want to go back to the kitchen and fetch the meat cleaver.
- Enter the gymnasium and head for an electrical box between the bleachers. Turn the power on and the basketball hoop will lower from the ceiling. There's an arm attached to it. Take a picture of the fingers and send it to Rosa.
- Move to the other side of the court and the second basketball hoop falls through the floor. Jump through the hole it created.
- Look in an alcove in the back of this room for a metal piece beside a desk.
- Follow the corridor into a room with a first aid station on the wall. Look for a ladder beside it and climb back up into the gymnasium.
- Exit by going either to the left or right and you'll find yourself in a narrow room with stairs leading up and down. Go down. At the bottom of the stairs, look for a dead bird on the ground next to a cardboard box.
- Look at the bricked up doorway and go left to find the Test Pattern TV Achievement.
- Backtrack and head up the stairs. Go through the doorway at the top and head left. On the far side of the playground, a dead FBI agent is lying on the ground.
- After the phone call and vision, five thugs run onto the playground. A couple of them have guns. Look in the alcove near the FBI agent's body for a small storage room with a rifle and a first aid station.
- Move through the gate on the opposite side of where you entered the playground. Look for a hole in the ground and jump down to enter the basement.
- After the disturbing vision of poor Mr. Tibbits, pull out your UV light. There's a large blood stain on the wall, about halfway down the hallway, beneath a fire extinguisher arrow on the left. After sending a sample to Rosa, head through the door at the end of the corridor and head right to enter the locker room.
- A door directly to the left leads to a dying bird.
- Walk through the locker room and through the doorway at the end. Follow the path until you get to a dead end. Climb through the opening on your left and use the first aid station on the wall if necessary. Shove down the gate in the next opening and some creepers fall through the ceiling. If you're quick, you can take down one or two with the taser before they run off.
- As soon as you climb through into the next room, a couple more creepers and a thug show up.
- Move to the back of the room into the center locker bay. A locker on the right has trace evidence. Send a sample to Rosa and then open the door to take a picture of Mr. Tibbits. After attempting to take a close-up picture, grab the shovel that fell out of the locker and head into the shower room.
- When you enter, somebody runs from the room. Follow him and he knocks open some steam pipes to block your path. Use the shovel to open the gate on the right. Turn the valve and shut off the steam. Keep the shovel for the upcoming fight.
- Head through the door on the left. Jump down into the pool and move forward until a body falls through the glass ceiling. Wait for "scary mode" to begin and then back up against the wall. Creepers start falling through the glass ceiling in hordes. Use your taser as often as possible, kick when necessary, and do not let them get close enough to grab you. If you're having trouble, there are two dead thugs with sub-machine guns lying on the edges of the pool. One is on the left side and the other is at the far end. There is also a paper cutter lying in the left corner of the pool, near where you jumped in.
- Climb out of the pool using the ladder at the shallow end. Notice there are two doors leading from the room. One of them is a fire axe door. Go through the door on the left to grab the fire axe propped against the wall. As soon as you entered, a thug with a 2x4 showed up in the pool room.
- Take him out and then hack through the fire axe door. Enter the locker room and look on the left side for a first aid station.
- Ignore the hallway next to the first aid station for now. Head to the back of the locker room to find a gate that requires a sledgehammer to open. The sledgehammer is leaning against the wall nearby. Inside, grab the metal piece from the wall and then head back to the corridor you ignored earlier.
- Make your way through the showers and the bathroom and exit through the door at the end. Go past the stalls in the next room and look for a table on the right with a dead bird on it.
- Move to the broken counter on the left side of the room. After speaking with Rosa, go down the hallway to finish the chapter.
9 - Apple Seed Orchard
- Pull out your UV light and send a picture of the phrase on the wall to Rosa.
- From here, enter the room immediately on the left. Grab the dead bird from the table in the center of the room. Move further into the room and notice that there's a safe on the right that requires a crowbar to open. You might want to grab the fireplace poker from the fireplace.
- Open the double doors in front of you and pass through the next room. Walk to the end of the hallway and enter the bedroom on the left. Move the dresser from against the wall to find a metal piece.
- From the bedroom, go back up the hallway and into the kitchen on the left. Look in the fridge for a dead bird.
- Open the door next to the fridge and go downstairs into the basement. Creepers regularly spawn and come at you as you move about the basement, so be prepared. Take a right at the bottom of the stairs, go down the short corridor, and then look inside the little alcove beneath the stairs for another metal piece.
- From the alcove, continue into the next room and look for a mirrored armoire. There is a dead bird on the ground beside it.
- There is a first aid station on the wall in the next room. From here, move through into the next room and look for a sink to the right of the doorway. Shine your UV light on it to find the next clue.
- Continue forward until you find a room with rusty shelves and a stove Move the stove beside the shelves and climb through the small opening to find the Gold Detective Badge Achievement. There is also a sub-machine gun on the seat.
- Head back upstairs to the first floor. In the kitchen, open the oven door to find the second clue.
- Go back to the start of the level and take the stairs to the second floor. At the top of the stairs, take a right. Open the second door in the corridor and turn over the bathtub to find a dead bird. Open the closet to find a sledgehammer. Pull out your UV light and shine it at the back of the closet for your third clue.
- Exit the bathroom and continue down the corridor. At the end, go through the door on the right. There is a dead bird on the bed and a metal piece inside the closet.
- Use the sledgehammer to bust open the lock on the door in this room. Then go back and get the sub-machine gun if you still have bullets. Head upstairs into the attic. There is a health kit on a beam as you exit the first room. In the next room, the demon from your visions come at you with two sticks. Do not let him melee you.
- Head to the right side of this back room to find a dying bird on the floor. Now go through the doorway all the way on the other side of the room. Look for a hole in the ground and jump through it to get back to the second floor.
- In this room, open the piano bench and shine your UV light inside for your final clue. Shove the piano out of the way to get through the door. Head back downstairs.
- The clue leads you back into the basement and the mirrored armoire. Open it up and take a picture of the scrapbook on the table inside the secret room. Before heading back upstairs, look for a pump shotgun a crowbar on the shelves nearby. The crowbar is for the safe upstairs, which contains a gun.
- Head back to the front door. A piano gets thrown down the stairs and thugs begin climbing through the windows in 2's and 3's. Fight them off until one with a fire axe shows up.
- Hack the banister at the end of the stairwell and slide the piano out of the way. Go upstairs and take a right. The room the body is in should be the one directly in front of you.
- Pull out your laser light and point it at the victim's fingertips. Send a picture to Rosa.
- After the second cut scene, chase SKX around and whack on him with the fireplace poker until Vanhorn shows up.
10 - Processing Center
- Once you're free to move about, head through the doorway and follow the only open path. In the second building, grab the flaming 2x4. It serves as a light source and a weapon.
- Climb through the hole and grab the dying bird from the ground directly in front of you. Head out the door on the other side.
- Outside, "watch" the cut scene and then move left into a stables area.
- Despite appearances, there's really only one path open to you. Keep moving forward, through the doorway at the end of the stables, across the little yard and through the opening in the gate. Turn right.
- Move forward until you come to a white building with a metal piece on the side. Grab it and then head right. A big guy breaks through the fence and runs at you. He takes a few hits to take down. Notice that he always recovers from a blow with a quick follow-up swing.
- Enter the white building to find a first aid station on the wall and then go through the hole in the fence.
- Move the blue trailer on the right to find a dying bird.
- Go through the garage and follow the tracks. On the left is a red tractor with a dead bird on the hood.
- The tracks lead to a gated wooden bridge. You are prompted to climb over and, once you do, about six creepers show up. Another big guy with a flaming 2x4 shows up to complete the group.
- On the right side of the bridge, about halfway down, look for a metal piece on a support beam.
- Continue following the tracks until you come to an area with a few torches on the right. Turn off the road here and climb up the hill. Enter the building at the end of the path. Inside, you'll find a rifle, a health kit and a power box on the wall. Move one of the green boxes to find a dead bird. Then pull the lever on the power box to move a big crane outside.
- As soon as you pulled the lever, two big guys with burning 2x4's started heading your way. It might be a good idea to wait for them in the doorway of this building and take them on one at a time.
- Jump down to the road below and walk beneath the building you were just in. Follow the track to a covered barn and grab a health kit from the wall if necessary. A big 2x4 guy shows up shortly afterward.
- Make your way through this closed off area and look for an opening at the far end. Right next to this opening is a truck with some health kits sitting on the truck bed.
- Look for a flaming pyre and move toward it. A couple of creepers and one of the demons with metal sticks come at you. Fight them off and then continue forward to a ramshackle building with no roof. There is a first aid station on the right wall.
- Move into the open field. You'll have to fight off a couple more big guys with 2x4's. Head to the upper left area of the field and look for an entrance into the barn.
- Follow the corridor to an open area with a tractor and a couple of horse trailers. There are a few goons with rifles wandering around. Move immediately to the back of the horse trailer on the right. There are two health kits and a rifle inside. If you stay concealed behind the trailer, the goons run to you. Pick them off one by one and grab their rifles if you run out of ammo.
- Move through the fence opening on the far side of this area and head past the flaming pyre. Take out the big guy with a 2x4 and then move inside a greenhouse with broken panels. The table directly in front of you has a sub-machine gun, some health kits and a dying bird.
- Equip yourself with the machine gun and move further into the greenhouse to the left. A couple of 2x4 guys come at you from behind and 2 more head for you from the front. Note that there is a second table on the left with more health kits and another sub-machine gun.
- Continue forward to the door at the end of the greenhouse. Head around to the right toward the flaming pyre. A demon with sticks runs at you. Take him out and then move all the way to the right side of the next building to find the door.
- Look for a metal piece on a table right as you enter the building.
- Move to the end of this room to find a dying bird pinned to the wall with a metal stick Remove the stick and to get teleported into the final boss fight.
- You wind up in a room with a couple of health kits. Use them if necessary and then head through the door.
- There are two first aid stations on the back wall in the next room. Bust the glass now in case you need to med up on the fly. A number of creepers and some big guys attack you. Fight off three or four waves until your real opponent shows his face.
- Wait until this guy has completed an attack combo before jumping in for some quick swings and then move quickly out of the way. If you get cornered, time your blocks well to get in a counterattack and push him back. After a while, he drops to the ground. Move behind him and pull a large piece of metal from his shoulder.
- He screams and leaps to the floor above. There is a ladder in the front of the room. Kill the creeper who runs into the room and grab some health kits from the wall next to the ladder first, if necessary. Also, save your game here. There is a bug which sometimes causes you to begin round three with no weapon equipped and unable to pick any up.
- A second round of battle awaits you. The pattern is exactly the same as before, but it's tougher to time your blocks and swings because there's no light. Time your blocks and kick him if he gets too close. Beat him down until he drops to the ground and then pull a second metal piece from his back.
- After warping into a new area, grab the health kit at your feet and prepare for round three. He has a new combo move in which he spins and then stabs behind him. Use the same tactics as before until he becomes dazed and sways back and forth. Quickly run up to him and remove the final metal piece to finish him off. Now you must choose whether to kill SKX or show compassion. Congratulations! You've finished Condemned: Criminal Origins!
