Comcast Heavy User Black List

Comcast will begin testing new programs that will protect the network from congestion stemming from customers who use more than their share of bandwidth.

The new program will includes the creation of a list of heavy users, who will not even be aware that they are being monitored.¹

Comcast BitTorrent Restrictions

Until recently, Comcast has used devices that delay BitTorrent traffic.

In an interview with The New York Times, a representative from the company explained that while they did not block access to peer to peer services, they do occasionally delay some transfers that interfere with bandwidth.¹
