As a child, Short appeared in several television commercials and attended a performing arts high school. He appeared in the acclaimed Broadway musical Stomp! and then worked for a short time as a backup dancer and choreographer for Britney Spears.¹ He starred on the short lived television series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and in the films Stomp the Yard and This Christmas.
