About Chrono Trigger
Chrono Trigger was originally developed by Squaresoft and released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo. It was ported to the Sony PlayStation six years later and released in a dual-disc bundle with Final Fantasy IV. The game has since sold 2.5 million copies worldwide.2
The Nintendo DS port of Chrono Trigger will maintain all of the original gameplay elements and adds a new dungeon and quests, multiplayer wireless play, touch screen capabilities and a re-worked script.2 Initial previews and reviews of the game have been positive, with the only criticism questioning the need to even release the game on a new platform. The basic elements that made the game a hit are still there, however, along with with a few minor tweaks to bring it up-to-date.3
