Christmas With The Kranks is a 2004 comedy about an empty-nesting couple who tries to "skip Christmas" because their daughter won't be there due to her joining the Peace Corps. The neighborhood is upset because the Kranks have always had a nicely decorated house and threw the neighborhood Christmas Eve party. After realizing how much they spent on the Christmas season the year before, they decide to use that much money and go on a cruise. At the last minute they find out that there daughter will be coming to visit with her fiance and will be there in 12 hours. They scramble to try to get all of their holiday decorations and shopping done before they are at the air port. Nora attempts to invite as many people as possible to join them at their house, as they normally would the Christmas Eve party. The party is a success and everyone is happy with how it turned out.
