2008 Tour de France
Cholet has many flat roads, which is why the 2008 Tour de France uses it for two stages.2 In stage four, bikers will race a 29.5-kilometer "short" and "smooth" route from and back to Cholet on July 8.3
In stage five the following day, they will depart Cholet and embark on a 232-kilometer trek to Châteauroux. Though it is the longest cycle of the Tour, it has no "classified climbs" to make things difficult for cyclists.4
