Sound
Reports of the album's musical content have varied, due perhaps to Rose's ongoing revisions of songs over the years. In the late '90s, it was reported that the album would contain industrial rock in the vein of Nine Inch Nails, though Rose has stated that the album has a Queen influence as well. Guns N' Roses rare live performances have previewed some of the album's proposed tracks, including the title track and a power ballad titled "Madagascar."2
