Charles Shaw wine is a popular brand produced in California vineyards. It is widely recognized for its inexpensive value and award wining taste. The brand is commonly sold at Trader Joe's locations. In California, they usually retail for $1.99 and are affectionately referred to as "Two Buck Chuck."¹

The Charles F. Shaw winery started as a company in the Napa Valley American Viticultural Area. The original label went out of business, and the name was sold to the Bronco Wine Company. Though they produce their wine in Ceres, California, they are able to label their bottles with "Napa County," as they own a bottling facility in Napa. The company has since taken advantage of the name recognition and has not only delivered an affordable option for connoisseurs, but also an award winning wine.

In 2003, the Shiraz produced by Charles Shaw won the double gold medal at the Annual International Eastern Wine Competition.³ In 2007, one of their brands won best Chardonnay at the Commercial Wine Competition at the California Exposition and State Fair.⁴
