Stage and screen actor Charles S. Dutton won multiple Tony awards before becoming recognizable in film. Though he appeared in Crocodile Dundee II and An Unremarkable Life in the 1980s, his 90s films Alien 3, Menace II Society and Cry, the Beloved Country established him as a solid supporting performer.

Television viewers know him best as Roc Emerson on the FOX sitcom Roc.
