Cerebus (character)

Cerebus is a fictional character in Dave Sim's 300-issue independent comic book limited series, Cerebus the Aardvark. He is a three-foot tall, bipedal, anthropomorphic talking aardvark with amoral, misanthropic tendencies.

A Wandering Factotum

Over the course of his long life, Cerebus was a barbarian mercenary, Prime Minister of Iest, tyrannical Pope of the Eastern Church of Tarim, murderer, revolutionary, bartender, and messiah. He received a prophesy that he would die alone and unloved as punishment for his self-centered and misanthropic ways, and indeed died attempting to kill his own mad son.
