The Bistro Laurent specializes in "country French cuisine."9 They are located in the town of Paso Robles, across from City Park. The atmosphere at Bistro Laurent is "unpretentious," the food, "superb" and the prices, "reasonable."10

For a low-cost dining experience that "excels," be sure to try Mo's Smokehouse BBQ in the coastal town of San Luis Obispo. Their "humble ambience" and "great barbecue" keep patrons coming back for more. Almost everything on the menu is "under $10," including the baby back ribs, barbecued beef and even the chicken, which is served in either a mild or hot sauce.11
