Casey Anthony Release
The first time Casey Anthony, the mother of missing three-year-old Caylee Anthony, was released from prison was on Thursday, August 21, 2008, after her bond was posted by bounty hunter Leonard Padilla and bail bondsman Tony Padilla.1 Anthony was then rearrested on new charges on August 29 and the Padilla's revoked her bond.2
Anthony was bailed out for a second time, by an anonymous person who posted 500,000 bail, on September 5, 2008. The release came just days after it was reported that traces of chloroform were found in Anthony's car.3
