Guide Note:Italian-born model and singer Carla Bruni continues making headlines after marrying French President Nicolas Sarkozy. A recent French diplomatic visit intensified interest in the new French First-Lady, with some news organizations asking if Bruni could be the new "Diana". It was reported in March 2008 that a nude photo of Bruni, taken in 1993, is to be auctioned at Christie's Auction House in April 2008. By the late 80's, she was one of the 20 highest-paid fashion models in the world.
