Amazon users called the A560 a good value and liked the face recognition and red-eye detection functions. Cameratown.com was impressed with the great photo quality and good performance, but mentioned a lag in speed after using the flash.

CNET was disappointed with the noisy performance at high ISOs and wished that the A560 had more advanced features. The Imaging Resource complained of two separate manuals included with the model, making it less convenient to look something up. They also complained of poor quality on the LCD screen and sluggish performance when using the continuous mode.
