History
The oldest canoe ever recovered is a dugout that dates back to around 6000 BC. Carbon 14 dating analysis confirmed that the canoe was built around this time. Commonly referred to as the "Canoe of Passe," it can be seen at the Drents Museum in Assens, Netherlands.4
