Canine Hepatitis
Canine hepatitis is a disease marked by inflammation of the liver. It can be chronic or acute. The acute disease is also referred to as infectious hepatitis.

Symptoms
- Sore throat
- Infected tonsils and larynx
- Coughing

- Diarrhea
Prevention
Vaccines are available to immunize puppies and adults containing adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1) or adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2), either one protects against both hepatitis and cough.1
Treatment
Treatment for canine hepatitis generally includes intravenous fluids and supportive care as needed.
